I clicked on LOVE, but not with a smile. I know this decision has been gut wrenching for you, but your health and your wife's health require focus and dedication. Good decision.
My son came by yesterday and we had a good day together. Somewhere in the piles of totes is one that contains some games he would like to have. I tried to find where I thought they might be, to no avail. That was frustrating enough, but the wife was trying to be helpful to say "did you look here, look there.. ". Ugh, I won't say any more about my thoughts or our discussion afterwards.
Not that I am counting, 12 hours left in the volunteer gig. After I leave tonight, I will unsubscribe from the handful of social media tools/pages I still have been part of.
Still is the correct decision. Now if they will just honor my request to let me quietly exit stage left without fanfare
My son called this morning to let us know he and his wife had their offer accepted on a house. Maybe by Thanksgiving they can pick up his totes, frig, and freezer we have been holding for him. 5 weeks until closing date.
The wife is getting shocked by the reality of home ownership. She had rented almost all of her adult life. Couldn't understand why I wasn't upset when it was recommended we replace the water heater. 20+ year old unit, tank filled with sediment (I couldn't drain it). New model way more energy efficient, with a warranty, and easier to service. No brainer for me.
