Alert! We Now Know When Sweet Magnolias Season 4 Will Premiere

Good news, Sweet Magnolias fans, it’s time to head back to Serenity! 

More than a year after the third season of the popular ended, Netflix has finally announced the premiere date for Season 4. All ten episodes of the long-awaited new season will drop on Thursday, February 6, 2025, the streamer just announced.

The feel-good series, which is based on the books of the same name by Sherryl Woods, is a tale of friendship, family, and romance set in the fictional South Carolina town of Serenity. 

The heartwarming series centers around three best friends, and stars JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Brooke Elliott, and Heather Headley are all set to reprise their roles in the new season. 

While Netflix hasn’t released a trailer yet, the official synopsis gives a few hints about what fans can expect in the new season, which will include “surprising laughter, unexpected heartbreak, and renewed resolve.” Hopefully that “unexpected heartbreak” isn’t anything involving the newlyweds, although something that shocking and dramatic would be rare for this comforting series. 

When the series finished shooting back in June, star Garcia Swisher shared a few behind-the-scenes photos filled with memories and moments from filming. She also revealed that season four is her favorite season “by far,” and not just because of the “OMG moments,” of which there are many, but “because it was a joy to make.”

Whatever twists and turns the new season brings, fans know that the Magnolias will be there for each other and for the weekly margaritas.
