teaching that use the same mode delivery for
all lessons or topics.
It also does not impose the same expression
for all students.
It does not provide students the same
academic experience all the time

• The goal of any teacher is toprovide the students with a safe learning environment.
• To make students feel safe , they should be allowed to bethemselves, make mistakes
and be in an environment that is fair.
• A fair learning environment does not espouse teaching that uses the same mode of

• In the contrary, fair learning environment provides studentswith lessons, strategies,
and
challenge thatwill address their individual needs.
10 Must Dos to create a Safe, Fair, and Equitable Learning Environment

auditory, visual, and kinesthetic.
☐ Use a variety of assessment strategies to meet the testing
needs of all students.
☐ Use adaptive equipment and strategies as needed to
meet all learner needs (large print, visuals, ect...)

equitably.

strengths) in heterogeneous cooperative groups.
☐ Build a classroom community grounded in the principles of a democracy.
☐ Avoid stereotypes and support gender neutrality in examples and resources.
