INTRODUCTION

 This chapter should contain the explanation about the topic

which you have undertaken for the project work.

 It should be 10 pages and it should contain an explanation of the

importance of the topic and should be written in the own words.

 It cannot be copied, and it needs to cover the importance, study

from the past and also few statistics about the topic wherever

necessary with sound justifications and explanations stating

clearly from which source data has been taken.

LITERATURE REVIEW
LITERATURE REVIEW

 This chapter should reflect the student’s understanding of the


relevant theoretical and empirical background of the problem.
 Focus should be more on the logical presentation of the
empirical evolution of conceptual and methodological issues
pertaining to research problem.
 Students are expected to study past research papers and a
minimum of 30 reviews need to be studied and included in the
project report.
 It should be written in the third person (he/she/we or it should
not be used).

 Present your data analysis and inferences

 Mention the objective along with the respective Hypothesis


(Hypothesis need to be mentioned only if it has been framed for that
objective else mention just the objective).

 Mention the tool or the statistical measure used for interpretation of the
objectives and hypotheses.

 The outputs in the form of tables or graphs need to be prepared by the


researcher and direct copy paste of the output must be avoided if the
student is using any statistical packages (Excel,SPSS, E-views, R etc).

 If it is inevitable to use certain outputs and they need to be presented in


the same manner as given by the package only then the student can
paste the same output which he/she got by running the information
using the statistical packages.

 The findings must include all the empirical facts which have
been a result of the data interpretation and they cannot be
opinions of the student or someone else.

 The findings must be related to the objectives and they must


also say how it is different from the past studies and what were
the finding in similar past review literature papers.

 The conclusion must include overall interpretation of the


finding and it should be written by reasoning out the findings
which are specific to ones research.

 The recommendations may be included if there is really a need


for it as your research findings recommend so, one cannot
include their own opinions as recommendations.

 List the books, articles, websites that are referred and useful for research on
the topic of your specific project.

 Follow Harvard style of referencing.

APPENDICES
It is easier if appendices are numbered in a
separate sequence (suggest A, B, C) rather than
as a continuation of the main report.

All the additional information or supporting


data to the research may be included under the
above heading.

Important programs, derivations, data and any


other useful material may be shown with proper
numbering.
Guidelines for preparing the project report for MBA III-IV semester

 The project report should be submitted in A4 size Bond paper.

 Number of copies to be submitted : Three

 One copy for each batch member. The certificate should consist
of batch member name and his/her roll number.

 Typing should be done on one side of the paper with character


font in size 12 of Times New Roman.

 The layout should provide a margin of 1.50 inches on the left


and 1.00 inches on the top bottom and right.

 Fresh paragraph should commence after 5 spaces, double


spacing should be used through the report.

 Page numbers should be indicated at top middle or bottom


middle of the report. Should not underline or use colon in the
heading or the sub-headings

 The dissertation should be hard bound with Rexene Black


colour and the project title page need to be embossed with
golden color.

 Two blank papers must be provided at the beginning and at


the end of the project.

 NOTE: DO NOT NUMBER the Certificate given by


Organization or Company where you have done your project.
College certificate should precede this certificate.

 After table of contents, list of tables, list of figures, must be


provided.

 All the above pages are to be numbered in Roman numerals of


lower case. Ex. i,ii,iii,iv,… The document pages must be
numbered using numbers i.e. 1,2,3……stead use the bold
letters.

 Figures, and tables occurring in a chapter may be serially


numbered as Fig. 1.1, 1.2 etc., and as as Table 1.1, 1.2 etc.,
where the first digit represents the chapter, the second digit
represents Figure/Table number.

 The graph should clearly indicate the points, which are used
for drawing the curve or curves.
