BAAO CHILDREN AND YOUTH CHOIR
The Baao Children and
Youth Choir (BCYC) is a
multi awarded choral
group. It is composed of
students from Rosary
School Inc. and the Baao
National High School
Special Program in the
Arts. It was performed
in 2003 and immediately
made a name for
themselves in the choir
circuit.
ACHIEVEMENTS

● Winning first place and best interpretation of the contest


piece in 2008 at NAMCYA.
● Reaching the national finals in the National Music
Competitions for Young Artist (NAMCYA).
● The group became the Philippines representative in the
first International Children’s Art Festival held in Kuala
Lumpur Malaysia.
ACHIEVEMENTS

● They continued to represent the country in other


international competitions such as Busan Choral Festival,
The 18th Juvenil de Habaneras in Torrevieja, and the
Mundial de Coros.
● They have also gone on tours throughout various places in
the country and abroad. Through their music, they have
continued to share to the world their talents and the beauty
of Filipino Music.

LAHING BATANGAN DANCE
TROUPE
Lahing Batangan Dance
Troupe was founded in 1996.
It is a folk dance company
based in Batangas and are
the official folk dance
company of the Lyceum of
the Philippines University.
The group performs dance
concerts that feature an all-
Filipino repertoire.
ACHIEVEMENTS

● The company regularly performs abroad to showcase


Philippine folk dances.
● They have performed in various countries such as Italy,
Malaysia, and South Korea and has represented the
country in various international folk festivals.

BARASOAIN KALINANGAN FOUNDATION
INC. (BFKI)
Barasoain Kalinangan
Foundation Inc. was founded
in the 1980’s. It has created
and performed a good
number of original plays.
The company also holds
twice a year Theater
Laboratory Workshops
whose outputs include
creations of one-act plays.
ACHIEVEMENTS
● The BFKI serves as the theater school in Bulacan.
● In 2007, they created the BACH Institute which stands for
Bulacan Arts, Culture, and History Institute that
endeavored to develop the rich cultural heritage of the
region. The group does this through trainings, research,
and other educational activities.
● For their dedication to the advancement of their craft and
heritage, The BFKI was awarded the Gawad CCP Para sa
Sining in 2004.

SAMAHANG NAZARENO
The senakulo is the
reenactment of the Passion of
Christ. It is an enduring legacy
left by the Spaniards
performed every Lenten
season. The most committed in
the continuation of tradition is
the municipality of Cainta
through its theater group, the
Samahang Nazareno. Formed
in 1960, the group has
continuously performed the life
of Christ.
ACHIEVEMENTS

● Their quality production has made the group very popular


and has been invited to perform in other provinces as well.
● Their presentation of the senakulo has earned them the
Gawad CCP Para sa Sining in 1993.
