Poverty is a state or condition in which a person or a community lacks the financial resources for a minimum standard of living. With the updated 2018 report of the Philippine Statistics Office, the Philippines poverty rate being at 16.7 percent which is translated to about 17.7 million Filipinos living in poverty in 2018. 2. Gender Inequalities is the legal, social and cultural situations in which sex and/or gender becomes the basis on the enjoyment of rights, as well as the assumption of stereotyped social and cultural roles. In the Philippines, gender inequalities stem from the long history of colonization that has embedded a patriarchal culture in the Filipinos. 3. The Justice System of the Philippines has always been under scrutiny from all walks of life that had the misfortune of undergoing its many procedures. The Philippine has always been a highly litigious society, with high court officials being under suspension of accepting bribes and giving favors. In many ways than one, many high profile cases end up being added up on the frustration of the masses of the judges being biased and favoring their ‘friends’ over giving due justice.
