WHAT IS EROS?
In Greek mythology, Eros (in ancient
Greek Ἔρως) is the primordial god
responsible for sexual attraction, love
and sex, also revered as a god of
fertility.
In some myths he was the son of Nicte and
Erebo but it was also said that it was
Aphrodite and Ares, but according to Platon's
banquet was conceived by Poros
(abundance) and Penia (poverty) on
Aphrodite's birthday. This explained the
different aspects of love.
Eros is the god of love. At first he was considered
born at the same time as Gea and Chaos. ... So
there would be a Love, son of Hermes and
Aphrodite Urania, Anteros - opposite or reciprocal
love - son of Ares (god of war) and Aphrodite
(daughter of Zeus and Dione).
HERMES AFRODITA
"Queen Cipria, a woman, stokes the fire that maddens
men for women, but Eros himself convinces the passion
of men for men.“

Thanaos is confused with Eros as it means a need for

sexual activity
WHAT IS AGAPE?

Agápē (in Greek: ἀγάπη)? is the Greek

term to describe a type of
unconditional and reflective love, in
which the lover takes into account only
the good of the loved one.
Some Greek
philosophers of Platon's
time used the term to
designate, as opposed
to personal love,
universal love,
understood as love of
truth or humanity.
Agape just like Eros is confused with storgé which
means love of commitment and love phylos (from
the Greek φιλíα) which means only fraternal love
including friendship and affection.
WHAT IS PSIQUE?

The Psique, from the Greek ψυχή, psyché, "human

soul", is a concept derived from the worldview of
ancient Greece, which designated the vital force of
an individual, united to his body in life and detached
from it after his death.
The term is maintained in several
schools of psychology, losing in
general its metaphysical value: it thus
becomes the designation of all the
processes and phenomena that
make the human mind as a unit.
Psyche is the complement
of Eros, so in art the
Greeks portrayed them as
a couple
