ESL Homework – Week 21 Name:

Task 1:

Find the key words and research their meaning (if you do not already know it).
Task 2: Read these 5 facts about dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs weren't just big lizards: While they were

reptiles, many dinosaurs were very different from lizards
we see today. Some were plant-eaters, some were meat-
eaters, and some even had feathers!
Some dinosaurs were tiny: You might think all dinosaurs
were huge, but some were as small as chickens!
Compsognathus was one of the smallest dinosaurs, about
the size of a turkey.
Dinosaurs ruled the Earth for a very long time: Dinosaurs
lived on Earth for millions and millions of years, much
longer than humans have been around!
We learn about dinosaurs from fossils: Fossils are the
remains of ancient plants and animals that have turned
into rock. By studying dinosaur fossils, scientists can
learn about how they looked, what they ate, and how
they lived.
Birds are related to dinosaurs! It might sound surprising,
but birds evolved from a group of dinosaurs called
theropods. That's why some dinosaurs had feathers!

Underline the nouns.

Circle the pronouns.
Draw a square around the verbs.
Tick the conjunctions.
