types of bonds that carbon atom forms resulting to the diversity of carbon
compounds
B. Performance Standard :The learners should be able to perform guided experiments in
determining the properties of common organic compounds

C. Learning Competencies: The learners should be able to recognizes the general


classes of organic compounds and their uses (S9MT-IIH-18)

At the end of the of the lesson, at least 80% of the learners should be able to :
A. Recognize common kinds of alkanes, alkenes, and alkynes and their uses,
B .Identify the types of bonds formed in alkanes, alkenes, and alkynes
C. Relate the structures of alkanes, alkenes, and alkynes to their properties
D. Perform guided experiments in determining the how the structures of hydrocarbons affect
