MATATAG Learning Plan – ICT

Grade Level: 8 Quarter: Third Subject: ICT

I. Unit Overview

This unit explores the Sectors of ICT, career paths, business opportunities, emerging trends, and
the essential qualities for success in the ICT field. The curriculum integrates real-world
applications, ethical considerations, and industry insights.

II. Learning Objectives

By the end of this unit, students will:

 Identify and describe ICT sectors and their associated career and business opportunities.

 Analyze emerging trends and issues that impact ICT industries.

 Recognize and cultivate key qualities for success in ICT professions.

 Apply knowledge by developing a career roadmap or business proposal.

III. Learning Plan

A. EXPLORE PHASE

Content Standard:

 Power Standard: Learners will understand ICT sectors, career paths, and business
opportunities.

 Supporting Standard: Learners will examine trends, issues, and success factors in ICT.

Essential Question: "How does ICT shape career opportunities and business innovations?"

Prior Knowledge Activation:

 Students complete a Before & After Worksheet, initially responding to the EQ before
engaging in activities.
