Semi-detailed Lesson Plan in English 1

I. Learning Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the learners must be able to do the following:
a. Define what is an adjective;
b. Underline the adjectives;
c. Develop an appreciation in using adjective.

II. Subject Matter


a. Topic: Adjectives
b. References: games4esl.com
c. Materials: Manila paper, Chalk, Flashcards
d. Approach: 4A’s

III. Procedure:
A. Daily Routine
 Greetings
 Prayer
 Checking of attendance
 Classroom rules
 Energizer

B. Activity
Directions: They are going to describe and observe what is on the card.
Entitled; “ what am I doing”
1. The teacher will show pictures.
2. The learners will try to give observations base on the picture

C. Analysis
1. The teacher will allow learners to define what is an adjectives base
on their responses.
2. The teacher will show flashcards about an adjectives and allow
learners to read it aloud.
3. Once they guess correctly, invite them to come in front and choose
the next card and act it out.
D. Abstraction
1. The teacher will expound more the topic.
2. The teacher will allow learners to read the simple sentences about
an adjectives.
3. The teacher will allow learners to encircle those adjectives in the
sentences.

E. Application
Directions: The teacher will divide the class into 3 groups. Each group
will create a simple presentation that shows their understanding of the
lesson. This activity is for 10 minutes only.
1. The first group will draw their favorite hero and describe it.
2. The second group will find all the adjective words in the crossword
puzzle.
3. The last group will underline the adjectives in the short story
entitled: “Whiskers and the Happy Day in the Meadow”
