Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in Grade 1

Quarter 1 f S.Y.: 2024-2025

Name of Teacher: Jezzel Mae D. Saragena

I. Objectives: At the end of 45 minutes discussion, the grade 1 pupils will be able
to do the following with at least 75% accuracy:
a. Identify different kinds of lines and,
b. Use lines to draw representations of people, animals, and houses or anything
that they see around them.

II. Subject Matter


a. Topic: Elements; Lines
b. Materials: pictures , chalk, visual aids
c. References: K to 12 Curriculum Guide in Art , A1EL-Ic, page 9 of 102

III. Procedure

a. Motivation
- The teacher prepared an activity which is titled “Connect the Dots”.
- She will paste a piece of paper in the board with dots then call
students to trace the dots to form lines.

- The teacher will ask the following questions:


1. What happens when you connect the dots?
2. What lines did you form?

b. Lesson Presentation

Lines - a mark that you create when you connect two or more dots.

Types of Lines
1. Vertical lines - are straight up and down lines that are moving in
space without any slant and are perpendicular to horizontal lines.

2. Horizontal lines - are straight lines parallel to the horizon that


move from left to right.

3. Diagonal lines - are straight lines that slant in any direction except
horizontal or vertical.

4. Zigzag lines - are a series of diagonal lines joined at ends.

5. Curved lines - are lines that bend and change direction gradually.
They can be simply wavy or spiral.

c. Analysis/ Abstraction

Directions: List at least 10 objects that has the different types of lines which can be
found in surroundings and identify what type of line is present on the objects.

IV. Evaluation
Directions: On your short bond paper, draw your dream house or favorite pet using
the different types of lines (10 points).
