I. RATIONALE:

“The Quality of Learning is greatly influenced by the quality of teaching”. This is the
mantra that DepEd’s holds. The Mid-Year INSET is a very helpful venue for our teaching
personnel to see the gaps that needs to be addressed so as better adjust the strategies and
interventions needed to accomplish the desired learning outcome and goals for all our learners in
the school.

As per DepEd Memorandum DM-OUHROD-2024-0037, otherwise known as “THE

GUIDELINES ON THE CONDUCT OF THE IN-SERVICE TRAINING FOR TEACHERS
FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2024-2025”, Schools Division of Zamboanga Sibugay issued a Division
Memorandum 466s. 2024, or the CALL FOR SUBMISSION OF TRAINING PROPOSALS
FOR MIDYEAR IN SERVICE TRAINING (INSET).

The National Learning Camp, National Reading Program, and National Mathematics
Program are designed to address educational gaps and enhance the overall learning experience
for students. These initiatives aim to support students in developing foundational skills,
particularly in literacy and numeracy, to ensure they are well-prepared for future academic
challenges to further enhance literacy and numeracy focusing efforts on reading and mathematics
which are critical to building a strong educational foundation. Catch-Up Fridays refers to the
designated days to help students who may have fallen behind in their studies, providing them
with additional time and resources to improve their understanding of key concepts.

The Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) seeks to equip students with knowledge,
skills, attitudes, and values that will enable them to develop a healthy perspective on sexuality
and relationships promoting healthy relationships which teaches students about mutual respect,
consent, and healthy relationships. Improve Health Outcomes: By providing information on
topics like reproductive health, CSE can lead to better health outcomes for students. Inclusivity
and Respect: Instills respect for diversity and promotes gender equality. DepEd Child Protection
Policy, Child’s Rights Policy, Gender and Development, and Safe Spaces. These policies are
designed to create a safe and nurturing environment for all students, ensuring their rights are
protected and their well-being is prioritized. Child Protection is implementing measures to
protect children from abuse and exploitation whereby promoting child rights to ensure that all
educational practices respect and uphold the rights of the child. Gender and Development
encourages gender sensitivity and equality within the educational environment while safe spaces
create environments where students feel safe and respected regardless of their gender,
background, or orientation.
