they struggled for a better life with only scarce resources to help them. They reflected on how
they overcame tough barriers in their life. Overall, their stories were a good reminders of work-
life balance while appreciating the beautiful moments of this world.
Keywords: life lessons ,childhood memories, work-life balance
Introduction:
This report evaluates the life of our parents and demonstrates the experiences and lessons they
have learned from life. It focuses on their childhood memories, adult life experiences, life
lessons and reflects on what they would change in their life if given the opportunity. The report
was compiled after extensive interviews with the parents.
Findings:
The intent of this interview was to get an insight into the parents lives and find out how they
have lived their life and how that way of life has helped them to be the person they are today.
1. Childhood memories: The parents shared several cherished memories in which they
emphasized the importance of friends and families. Travelling, playing, cooking and
eating were some of the activities that made them memorable. These activities later
helped them in socializing with others and building relations.
2. Adult life: In the transition from childhood to adulthood, they faced many challenges
such as balancing work and personal life. Their journey through education and career was
one filled with hardships and struggles but they quickly learned to adapt and were
resilient in the face of failure.
3. Outlook on life: Looking back on their life, the parents recalled their past experiences
and shared valuable wisdom with us that they have gathered over the years. Some of the
most important were:
Work hard and never lose hope if you wish to be successful.
Always be gentle, caring and respectful towards others, especially your elders.
4. Changes: When asked how life has changed from childhood till today, the parents
recalled the most major moments in life that have caused those changes and we observed
that from being carefree, ignorant little children, they became self-aware and responsible
adults. These changes were caused when the parents started critical thinking about the
surrounding world and by tragedies that happened in their life.
5. If they could change one thing about life, what would it be?
This was the hardest question for the parents to answer as it made them rethink their life
choices and reflect on their past. All of the answers were based on something that they did
not achieve in their life. Their responses have been listed below:
Become a Doctor and spend more time with their parents.
Be brave, strong and independent.
Conclusion:
These interviews provided valuable insight into the parents life. It showed how from
experiences their childhood evolved into adult life. Ultimately, their reflections remind us
how to balance personal life with work while still taking some time to enjoy the serene
tapestry of this world.
