Allāh  the Creator )‫(ا ْل َخ ِالق‬

Allāh  is the King of the heavens and the earth.

Allāh  created everything that exists. Some are


seen; some are not.

The sun rises every day.


Cows give milk.
Hens lay eggs.
Vegetables make us strong.
Clouds bring rain to plants.
My Lord Allāh  created all these.
He rules over all things.

Allāh  Created the Heavens

Look at the sky. It is high above. Stars twinkle at


night. The moon also lights the sky. The sun is a source
of energy. It shines during the day.

Glory be to Allāh  who created the heavens. He


blesses man through the heavens. He created clouds
that hold the rain. When rain falls, plants grow. Plants
are food for man and animals.

With my tongue, I can taste.


With my skin, I can feel.
With my feet, I can walk.

Allāh  created me.


He gave me everything I need.
Truly Allāh  is great.

Allah  created the first man, Ādam, and the
first woman, Hawwā’. Ādam and Hawwā’ were the
first man and woman. Hawwā’ was created from
the ribs of Ādam.

We have learned in this unit that Allāh  created


everything.

 We say “Ŝubhānallāĥ” to appreciate creations.


 Allāh  created the heavens and the earth. He
created everything in between. He created the air
and the wind.
 Allāh  created the stars and the moon. Allāh 
created the sun, too.
 Allāh  sends water from the clouds that cause
wonderful gardens to grow.
 Allāh  created the mountains, hills, valleys,
plains, and volcanoes.
 Allāh  created oceans and seas. He created
rivers, falls, lakes, and springs.
 Allāh  provides us water. The oceans and the
seas are salty water. Rivers, lakes, falls and
springs are not. Different kinds of fish live in
water. Pearls and corals are found under the sea.

What Did You Learn

We have learned in this unit the different acts of


showing reverence to Allāh . Among these are as
follows:

 We say the following before reading the Holy


Qur’ān:
 “A’ûūḋubillaĥi minas shayṫānir rajīm” (I seek
protection in Allāh , from shayṫan, the
accursed.)
 “Bismillāĥir Rahmānir Rahīm” (In the name
of Allāh , the Most Gracious, the
Merciful)
 We say “Bismillāĥ” before doing anything.
 We say “A’ûūḋubillaĥi minas shayṫānir rajīm” when
yawning, being angry, or seeing bad deeds.
 Sūraĥ al- Fātihaĥ is the opening sūraĥ of the Holy
Qur’ān. This is read in ŝalāĥ. We have to learn how
to read it correctly.
 We have to obey what Allāh  commanded us and
the teachings of Prophet Muhammad  manifested
in as-shaĥādatayn.

 As a Muslim, we have to affirm the as-
shaĥādatayn: “Ash-ĥadu an lā ilāĥa illallāĥ (I bear
witness that there is no God except Allāh), “wa
ash-ĥadu anna Muhammadan Rasūlullāĥ” (And I
bear witness that Muhammad  is His messenger.)
 We have to follow rules and regulations, traffic
rules, school policies, etc.
 We should obey persons in authority.
 We should obey our parents, elders, and teachers.
 We have to respect other cultures and beliefs.
 We should apply the values of cleanliness and
personal hygiene. We have learned these from
wudhū’.
 We have to be hardworking like the ants. Allāh 
is Ar-Razzāq, the everlasting sustainer.

Remembering Allāh  Always

We live according to the way of the Prophet .

Allāh  said, “And the men and women who


remember Allāh  frequently, Allāh  has prepared for
them forgiveness and a great reward.” -Qur’an 33:35

What Did You Learn

In this unit, we have learned that:

 Prophet Muhammad  is the last prophet of Allāh


. He was sent by Allāh  to complete the most
noble character traits. He is the excellent model
in all aspects.
 Prophet Muhammad  was born in Makkaĥ,
Monday, month of Rabīel Awwal.
 His father is Abdullāh, son of Abdul
Muṫṫalib. His mother is Āminaĥ, daughter of
Waĥb.
 We have learned some du’âā’ in remembering Allāh
. These are as follows:
 We enter in the toilet with the left foot
and say, “Allāhumma innī aûūḋu bika minal
khubuthi wal khabāith”
 We go out with the right foot and say,
“Gufrānaka.”
 We clean private parts with our left hand.

 We enter with the right foot and say,
“Bismillāĥ, waŝŝalātu wassalāmu âlā
rasulillāh. Allāĥummaftah lī abwāba
rahmatika.”
 We go out with our right foot and say,
“Bismillāĥ, waŝŝalātu wassalāmu âlā
rasulillāh. Allā humma innī as-aluka min
fadhlika.”
 When we start to eat, we hold the food
with the right hand and say, “Allāĥumma
bārik lanā fīĥi wa aṫ-emnā khayran minĥu.”
 After we eat, we say, “Alhamdulillāĥillaḋī
aṫ-âmanī ĥaḋā wa razaqanīĥi, min gayri
hawlin minnī walā quwwaĥ.”
 Before we sleep, we say, “Bismika
allāĥumma amūto wa ahyā.”
 When we wake up, we say,
“Alhamdulillāĥillaḋī ahyāna ba’da mā
amātanā wa ilayĥin nushūr.”
 We put on dress from right and say,
“Alhamdulillāĥillaḋi kasānī haḋa wa
razaqanīĥi min gayri hawlin minnī walā
quwwaĥ .”
 When taking off dress we say “Bismillāĥ.”

Muhammad  taught us, “None of you truly

 We have learned Sūraĥ al-Masad, which reminds us
