FOREWORD
This portfolio is a compilation of the laboratory reports and
documentation of all the experiments conducted in Microbiology and
Parasitology CN 5620 under the supervision of Roderick T. Malinao, MST.,
whose objective is to teach the third year BSED Science students the
implementation and the application of the knowledge the students have
learned in the course. The whole class was divided into four groups for
convenience. This portfolio holds the work of ten students in Group 3.
Practical knowledge is far more important and different from the bookish
knowledge that the student achieves in an institution.
The group has had enough photographs to compile since the class
was oriented and instructed to take measures for documentation purposes.
Thankfully the whole class helped with documentation, students took
photographs of their classmates even if they are not exactly in the same
group.
Conducting the experiments were successful, they were all
accomplished and the students learned how to take and preserve samples,
how to dilute them and isolate the bacterias. The members have learned
skills they will take beyond the classroom and into classes of their own that
they will handle in the future.
The members of this group and their conduction of the experiments
are not perfect, but still, these students have done their best to compile the
reports. On that note, the objective of the laboratory class and the purpose
of this portfolio has been achieved.
