If you had an extra hour every day, what would you do with it?

(Maximum 100 words)

1. If I had an additional hour every day, I would use it to improve my community service activities.
This experience would strengthen my dedication to have a good influence, whether it is by
volunteering, planning, fundraising events, or supporting community initiatives. This extra hour
of committed service would further show my love for giving back and brightening someone
else's day, which is motivated by the life-changing power of simple deeds of kindness in creating
a caring and encouraging atmosphere.

If you could create a one-month course about anything, what would it be called and why?
(Minimum 100 to maximum 150 words)

2. My one-month course, "Mindful Moments," would take students on a life-changing exploration

of creativity in daily situations. The purpose of this training will be to reveal the inspiration and
beauty hidden in everyday situations. Students will discover creativity in the simplicity of
everyday tasks and learn to appreciate the beauty of the ordinary through mindfulness
exercises. "Mindful Moments" inspires students to adopt a creative mentality in numerous areas
of life, from photographing scenes of light at various times of the day to finding the art in
everyday tasks like cooking or jogging. The course will promote creativity and focus as effective
means of promoting both personal development and the formation of peaceful interpersonal
relationships. Participants would leave the course with greater respect for the small beauty that
surrounds us every day in addition to a collection of their own ideas.

3. Describe a teamwork experience where you failed. What could have been done
better? (Minimum 150 to maximum 250 words)

I remember one particular instance of collaboration that didn't go as expected since I was on the
ice skating team. We were getting ready to do a coordinated routine, but unfortunately, during a
critical performance, our coordination broke, making for an average performance. Thinking back
on this, I see that a major problem was communication. When it came to the scheduling of
several regular components, our team did not communicate in a clear or consistent manner. We
lost our collective flow as a result of each member's decision as to when to do particular moves.
We might have done better by putting in place a more organized system of communication. To
make sure that everyone was in agreement, this may have required holding frequent team
meetings to go over and practice timing. Better cooperation would have also been promoted by
establishing a safe space where team members could voice their worries and make suggestions.
In addition, we could have included more team-building exercises to improve our relationships
and mutual trust. Establishing a solid foundation of trust is essential for efficient coordination
and communication within the team throughout performances. Essentially, our cooperation
experience's failure taught me the value of open communication, mutual trust, and careful
planning. These teachings have proved to be invaluable in my future ice skating endeavors as
well as in other areas of my life where collaboration is crucial.

4. Describe a community you belong to. What role does this community play in your life, and
in return, what role do you play in this community? (Minimum 150 to maximum 250 words)

I am a committed participant in the debate club at my school, a group that is very important to me. My
public speaking and critical thinking skills improve in this academically interesting, connected
community. Our discussions put my viewpoints to the test and motivate me to express my ideas clearly
and firmly. Apart from my own development, I also give back to the community by serving as a mentor
to newer members. I get great joy from mentoring students through the complexities of argument,
developing their abilities, and boosting their self-assurance while voicing their opinions. In addition, I
have given seminars inside the club, imparting knowledge and methods that help members improve
their total skill set. In exchange, the discussion club has been essential to my personal development. It
has given me priceless chances for personal growth, allowing me to improve my communication abilities
and exercise critical thought on a range of topics. In addition, the community has given me access to a
network of people who share my interests, which has allowed me to form lasting connections. It also
fosters an environment of respect and curiosity for knowledge by acting as a safe place where people
with different viewpoints may coexist. In general, I see my connection with the debate club as mutually
beneficial, where I gain from it and also help it flourish and become a vibrant, intellectually interesting
group.

5 Describe something that you used to dislike but now enjoy. What prompted this change? (Word count
requirement: minimum 150 to maximum 250 words)

There once was a time when I disliked anything that required moving outside. I believed it to be overly
demanding on my body and mind. But suddenly, something miraculous took place. I made the decision
to join my fellow classmates in a hiking club. Initially, I was hesitant. What makes someone decide to
voluntarily go up a mountain? However, as we began on our journey, something within me shifted. The
stunning views and physical struggle turned into a type of joyful experience. I had no idea that Mother
Nature would be so breathtaking. A significant factor in this change was my fellow students. Their
energy was spreadable, and their support motivated me to keep moving on. It's as like they opened my
eyes to a completely different universe, and all of a sudden, I was appreciating something I had hated
before. I'm excited about our outdoor experiences now. I feel alive because of the exercise, the fresh air,
and the companionship. I never would have imagined being able to feel so at ease and connected to
nature. As it happens, sometimes all it takes to transform something you dislike into something you
adore is the correct set of people. The crazy thing is that I used to dislike being dirty. Now, though, when
we go on our walks, I find myself cheerfully struggling through it. It is like an honor award. A little dirt
doesn't matter when you're having so much fun, right? It's interesting how things turn around when you
learn to appreciate life's tiny untidy moments.

 A) Please describe the challenge which most allowed you to grow and learn. What problems
did you encounter and what barriers did you overcome? In what sense did it change you?
The challenge that has had the most profound impact on my personal growth and
learning was when I left the comforts of my home and family to live in hostels at the age
of 12. This experience introduced me to a world of independence, responsibility, and
adaptability that I had never encountered before. Living away from home at such a
young age was not without its difficulties. I faced a range of problems and barriers, from
homesickness to academic challenges and the need to learn the ways of living with my
peers. The most immediate challenge was dealing with homesickness. I missed the
warmth of my family, the familiar surroundings of my home, and the comfort of my own
bed. However, I knew that I had to adapt to my new environment.
The change was difficult academically as well. Higher expectations and a more
demanding academic curriculum were placed on me. Even though I initially found it
difficult to keep up with the challenging courses, I was committed to overcome this
obstacle. I asked teachers for advice and started creating better study habits, setting
aside more time for assignments and revision.
Another major barrier was the need to understand and respect the diverse backgrounds
and perspectives of my peers. We each have our own distinct set of traditions and
customs from our various regions of the nation. Misunderstandings occasionally
resulted from cultural differences, which I had to learn to accept and negotiate. I
become much more empathetic and open-minded as a result of this experience.
Being away from home at such a young age had a significant impact on me. I became
stronger, independent, and adaptive as a result. I discovered how to welcome
difficulties and see them as chances for development. I became more aware of the value
and uniqueness of each person's background and experiences, which increased my
respect for cultural variety. Above all, it showed me the significance of building strong
connections with people who were going through similar struggles and the worth of
having a supporting group.
This experience laid the foundation for my ability to adapt to new environments, work
with diverse groups of people, and adjust in situations that require independence and
responsibility. It has shaped me into a more self-assured and empathetic individual who
is prepared to face life's challenges head-on.

My primary responsibilities as a community-focused Girls Guide include planning activities,
collecting money for charitable causes, and taking an active part in cleaning initiatives. This is
significant to me since it enables me to make a constructive contribution to society by
encouraging harmony and support. I take great satisfaction in empowering people, interacting
with the community, and encouraging compassion while making sure that everyone has access
to positive activities. By doing this, I hope to leave a lasting impression and encourage others to
contribute to the development of a more cohesive and compassionate community.

ICESKATING:
My main responsibility as the team's player is to lead the ice skating squad. This role is very
important to me because it combines my passion for the game with a sense of duty to my
teammates. Being the star player means that you are dedicated to improving the team as a
whole, not just yourself. The ice court turns into a stage where each step and leap narrates a
tale of cooperation and coordinated effort. This position is significant to me because it gives me
the chance to guide, motivate, and play a vital role in a group's pursuit of ice skating greatness.

TUTOR:
My primary responsibilities as a grade 9 student coaching juniors at home are that of a mentor
and guide. This role is really meaningful to me because it goes beyond helping students with
their academics; it's about creating a welcoming environment for learning. Assisting younger
pupils with their academics helps me to impart confidence and passion in them while also
confirming my knowledge of the topics. It is really fulfilling to see their growth and "aha"
moments; it brings a sense of fulfillment that goes beyond the typical classroom dynamics. My
method of positively influencing other students' academic paths is as a tutor.

.ALINA prospers in dynamic settings that combine a wide range of extracurricular activities with
academic brilliance. She is a motivated and accomplished student who does well academically
and demonstrates a love of learning outside of the classroom. Alina does best in settings that
allow her to explore her wide range of interests, including camps where she may participate in
group projects and experiential learning.
Her love of physical challenges and hobbies is evident in her passion for hobbies such as ice
skating. Alina is a big fan of extracurricular activities that promote leadership, collaboration,
and personal development. As parents, we've seen her confidence rise when she's allowed to
combine her academic pursuits with extracurricular activities like sports and creativity. We
think Alina may flourish and reach her full potential in an educational environment that values
and encourages this all-encompassing approach.

. Even though Alina does well academically and enjoys a variety of extracurricular activities,
we've noticed that she can be a little shy about asking for assistance or clarification on difficult
subjects. We understand as parents how critical it is to encourage a proactive attitude towards
education. Encouraging Alina to ask questions with confidence and ask for help when she needs
it will help her get over barriers more skillfully. We think she can improve in the area of
adopting a mentality that views obstacles as teaching chances. We are dedicated to
collaborating with educators to establish a setting in which Alina is at ease seeking assistance
and sees obstacles as opportunities for future achievement. This strategy will improve her
academic career while also strengthening her general resilience.

.I am thrilled to present Alina's improvement from the previous year. She has demonstrated
amazing improvement and a sincere love of learning in her academic career. Alina's teachers
have been tremendously helpful and accommodating, customising their classes to fit her
unique learning preferences. They've used a variety of teaching techniques to make sure she
understands the material, and it's amazing to watch her confidence grow.

In terms of social interactions, Alina and her classmates have become close. The school has
created a welcoming atmosphere that promotes empathy and collaboration. Social-emotional
learning exercises have also been used by Alina's instructors, which have improved her ability to
manage and comprehend her emotions. I appreciate the school's dedication to fostering a
supportive environment that promotes each student's entire wellbeing in addition to their
academic success. When there have been small issues, the school and I have been in constant
contact and have collaborated to quickly resolve any issues. Alina's achievement and pleasure
in both the social and academic spheres have been made possible by the cooperative attitude
amongst the parents, instructors, and school personnel. Her success is something I'm glad to
see, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of her in the years to come.
