Session Title: Compassion and Peace Subject and Time: Araling Panlipunan
in our daily lives
Session Objectives: The learner should be able to Identify acts of compassion and peace in their
daily lives.

Activity: Begin with classroom routine:
Introduction 15 mins a. Prayer

A. Introduction
Greeting and Icebreaker: Start with a fun,
interactive activity to loosen up and create a
positive atmosphere. Example: Play a
"Compliment Circle" where students pass a ball
and give a positive compliment to the person who
catches it.
Introduce the Topic: Explain that today's lesson is
about two important concepts: compassion and
peace. Briefly define these concepts in age-
appropriate language. Example: "Compassion is
caring about others and wanting to help them feel
happy. Peace is when everyone feels calm and
respectful towards each other."
B. Reflective Thinking
Ask Guiding Questions: Pose questions to get
students thinking about their own experiences with
compassion and peace. Example: "Can you think of
a time when you showed compassion to
someone? How did it make you feel? When do you
feel most peaceful?"
Listen and Encourage Sharing: Share your own
experiences and encourage students to voluntarily
share theirs. Create a safe and supportive space for
open discussion.
C. Structured Values Activities
Storytelling: watch the short story "The Butterfly and
the Bee" (or similar), highlighting acts of compassion
and peace within the narrative. Discuss the story's
message and ask students to identify situations where
the characters showed compassion or created peace.
Creative Expression: Divide students into pairs and
provide them with construction paper, markers, and
glue. Ask them to create a picture or scene depicting
an act of compassion or peace. Encourage them to be
creative and express their understanding through art.
D. Group Sharing and Reflection
Group Sharing: Have each pair share their artwork
with the class, explaining what they created and why.
Encourage respectful listening and appreciation for
diverse perspectives.
Values Discussion: Guide a discussion based on the
shared artwork. Ask questions like: "What values did
you see displayed in the pictures?" "How can we
practice these values in our classroom?" "What can
we do to create a more peaceful and compassionate
environment for everyone?"
E. Feedback and Reinforcement
Positive Reinforcement: Appreciate students'
participation, effort, and understanding throughout
the lesson. Highlight specific examples of
compassion and peace demonstrated during the
activities.
Wrap-up Activity: Ask students to share one action
they can take to show compassion or promote peace
in their daily lives. Write these actions on a chart
paper and display it in the classroom as a reminder.

Reflection 10 mins Pagkatapos ng laro, talakayin ang mga tungkulin ng mga
tong bumubuo sa paaralan.
Bigyang pansin ang mga naiiambag ng mga tao na
bumubuo sa paaralan sa pagkakaraoon ng kaayusan at
disiplina tungo sa kapayapaan sa paaralan.
Itanong:
Naranasan ba ninyo ang kanilang serbisyo?
Paano sila nakatulong sa inyo?
Wrap-Up 5 mins Para sa inyo, mahalaga baa ng mga taong bumubuo sa
ating paaralan? Bakit?
Ang mga taong bumubuo sa paaralan ay nagbibigay
serbisyo para magkaroon ng kaayusan at disiplina, tungo
sa kakpayapaan sa paaralan.
