The key to success on campus

1. Moral values, positive attitude, and positive thinking

Moral values, positive attitudes and positive thinking are one of the keys
to success in the campus. But all three have different meanings:

• Moral value, means the value associated with good and bad deeds that
are the basis of human life in society, where the term human refers to
humanity or other people in actions that have positive or negative values

• Positive attitude, meaning good behavior in accordance with the values

and norms of life that apply in society. Positive attitude is reflected in
discipline, cooperation, tenacity, and honesty.

• Positive thinking is a logical way of thinking that looks at things in a

positive way both for themselves, others, and the circumstances in their
environment. So, he will not despair of the problems he faces and is easy
to find a way out.

From the above understanding, norm values, positive attitudes and

positive thinking are the keys to success on campus. All three are needed in the
campus environment. Not only is the environment in the campus. These three
points are also needed in family life, community or association.

One of the keys to success of a student is to have positive moral values,

must have good attitudes and behavior, and must have a logical and accountable
way of thinking. These 3 points are interconnected, moral values are the basis of
consideration for individuals to determine the attitude or behavior that should be
done to be avoided

To be able to achieve the key to success in the campus, there are many ways
students can do to realize these 3 points, namely:

1. Students must have cooperative and other attitudes

2. A student must be honest and disciplined in doing the tasks that have
been given by the lecturer
3. A student must have courtesy and respect for lecturers and people who
are older
4. Speaking quietly confronted by the lecturer / older person, this was
ignored as an explanation of the sense of respect that is always raised by
students by students. This is a real illustration of good moral behavior.

2.Good language communication, far from sarcastic words, and

bad sentences.
The use of Indonesian in the academic environment is very instrumental,
namely as a communication tool and is one form of behavior. The karmic order
between lecturers and students will be reflected in the use of good and true
Indonesian
Studying in campus or college has its own ethics. Good ethics of
communicating with lecturers, staff assistants, even with other students there are
differences
Language also acts as a tool to express self-expression which is a means
to express everything that is in a person, whether in the form of feelings,
thoughts, ideas, and desires they have. The most basic role of language use is as
a communication tool. Communication is the process of delivering messages
both verbally and in writing. Good and true language is a language that does not
live up to the other person, and each word is part of the words in the big
Indonesian dictionary.
As students, we must use good and right language when communicating
in the campus environment. This can be realized by doing the following:

1. Students must use the right language, language that is in accordance

with the standard language principles

2. Students must be clever in choosing words, do not use words that

contain dirty or gross elements.

2. When communicating with other lecturers or staff, use a soft tone and
intonation that makes the other person feel respected.
3.Very serious motivation to study hard
Some of the students think that, all the lessons that are taught are
important. But by just thinking like that, it will not cause motivation or interest
to find specifically, what benefits will be learned. How to connect what will be
learned with the real world this is the same as creating interest. creating interest
is a very good way to motivate yourself to achieve goals

Motivation is also to change the "belief" of a person so that it can

eliminate the mental that is a barrier to success. Especially for society,
motivation needs to exist because in that phase they begin to learn to be mature
and independent

Motivation for students aims to make them aware of what their goals are
to be students so that they can be easy to excel through high IP values and be
able to organize well. Therefore, motivation is very important in a person

The following are ways students can do to motivate themselves to be

active in learning:

1. The important thing is the role of parents in providing good support for
ourselves in terms of learning

2. When learning to connect what is learned with real life, so that we can
easily understand what the purpose of learning is

3. Students must have one of the educated figures that he likes to be

motivated and encourage learning

4. Fully focus on the target

Focus is full concentration on one goal. Focus can be a factor that greatly
determines a person's success to achieve a success, to achieve a success, we
must focus on the target to be addressed. Just as in campus life, to get high
grades, we must focus learning without thinking about other things that are not
important and also that can hinder achieving a target. if we do not focus, we can
be complacent about other things that can make us fail to reach our target

In achieving a target strengthens focus and attention in achieving the

goals and targets that have been made at the beginning of the program is
needed. Our success in achieving the target is usually located when we do more
than just goal setting, and put it in front of our eyes so as not to miss attention.
will be motivated by the success rate, and want to achieve the next target. So
that we not only set goals but ensure that they work continuously and are
executed

Furthermore, apart from our focus on achieving the target it is also

necessary to keep praying to God because the results of what we will get from
reaching God's target is what determines

The following are examples of behaviors focused on the targets we can

do in the campus environment:

• control of something that can disrupt the concentration of learning we can

keep things away while focusing on plans that have been made beforehand

• think about your goals if we want to graduate from college in a fast

period of time and get high grades we must always focus on learning not to
prioritize the important ones in your target

• make it a habit to easily get out of the routine, so we have enough time to
think about life plans

5. Don't waste time on things that don't need to be, ECONOMIC

In everyday life we often hear economic words. "economical'. Economical is
an action / behavior that we can obtain. Input with prices as small as possible /
in a relatively fast time. From the above understanding we can know that
successful people are people who can make the best use of time. Those who
want to succeed always focus on how to optimize their time, so that's why
students like us, really need time management skills. Time management is
planning, organizing and controlling a time in this case can be our reference in
distinguishing important and urgent things.

Besides that priority and not priority will have an impact on us. And in a plan
this is very needed, what is meant in priority is something that if not done will
have a negative impact on us, so that it cannot be postponed. So as a student, we
need to know exactly what is the priority and what is not because if wrong in
choosing this can be a waste of time.

Here is a way for students to use their time so they don't waste time on
unnecessary things :

1. Have priority
Some urgent things are sometimes not important, there are important but
not urgent things, people who want to succeed make considerations, which
are urgent, important and deserve to get attention first.

2. Earning at leisure

Successful people use their free time to make a profit. For example, free
time on the road is used to develop insight with audio CDs / connect with
friends.

3. Plan daily activities

Nothing is effective without careful planning successful people do

activities organized and doing well. They do good things because they
planned ahead.

6. Having high politeness

Decency is an attitude of humility, courtesy, courtesy, is very necessary
and important to be a mandatory culture that must be possessed, both in the
campus environment, society, and organization without courtesy, it can lead to
disputes between members / humans politeness is useful for the order of society
that functions as a rule , guidelines and procedures for the behavior of a
community group, politeness is also useful as a guideline in sanctioning and
creating a harmonious community group so that it is comfortable and peaceful,
politeness usually comes from relationships or relationships between
community members and is usually regional.

Examples of modest politeness that we can see around:

1. Disposing of garbage in its place

2. Eat with your right hand

3. Speak good and not rude to others

From the description above it can be concluded that politeness applies

when interacting with the surrounding, so we as students must have the nature
and manners. The following is a way for students to have high courtesy.

1. Speaking just as needed this can add weight to the words of your words

2. Never talk when other people talk

3. Receive a gift with gratitude

7.Humble and far from arrogant

Humility may be a word that is almost lost in our vocabulary. Almost

every day we hear or witness how we show the arrogance of power or wealth,
the greatness that we have. I have a friend who is very humble, he always greets
everyone without seeing social status, he wants to reach out to anyone around
him without shame or prestige, he does it humbly.

Humility is one indicator of a person's high spiritual intelligence. A

person who cannot show a humble attitude or character means that he has not
attained peace with himself. From the results of research conducted by Gray
Hendrik. These successful leaders turned out to have spiritual intelligence that
was far higher than the average human. They are precisely humble people.

A humble person usually thinks that other people as God's creatures are
unique and special, so that they always make other people feel important.
Because actually every person is a special person. Humans are very sensitive
creatures. If we doubt this, look at ourselves and notice how easily we feel hurt
or offended.

One example of humility is to accept other people's opinions, suggestions

and accept criticism from others. It is often said that God gives us two ears and
one mouth, which means that we hear more than speak.

Then what is arrogance?

Arrogance is arrogance, arrogance or arrogance. Where does this

arrogance arise or which product is arrogance ?

Whether we realize it or not in the reality of today's society, starting from

a large scope in the context of the state, all that is hoped for together as a
manifestation of the community described earlier is very difficult to materialize.
these very noble human qualities.
8. Religious Personality

The number of moral issues among teenagers including students and

students such as drug use, brawls, pornography, rape, damaging people's
property, robbing, cheating, gambling, murder, etc. has become a social
problem that until now has not been resolved completely .

The consequences are quite serious and can no longer be regarded as a

simple matter, because it has led to criminal acts. this condition is very alarming
for the community, especially parents and teachers or lecturers (educators),
because the perpetrators and their victims are teenagers, especially students and
students, therefore we as students must develop religious behavior well so that
they avoid things negative things

Religious behavior is a behavior that is close to spiritual matters.

Religious behavior is a human endeavor to get closer to God as its creator.
Religiosity is a person's inner attitude dealing with the reality of his outer life
such as life, death, birth, disaster, and so on. As a person who has God the
power is believed to be the power of God. This power has a positive impact on
the development of one's life if he is able to find its meaning.

This religious value can be taught to students through a number of religious

activities. Religious activities will bring students to religious behavior.
Religious behavior will lead students to act according to morality and ethics.

Habits of religious behavior in schools or universities are able to lead

students to do what is appropriate with ethics. The impact of habituation of
religious behavior affects three things, namely: 1. Mind, students begin to learn
positive thinking. This can be seen from their behavior to always admit their
own mistakes and want to forgive others. Students also begin to eliminate
prejudice against others. They are always open and willing to cooperate with
anyone regardless of religion, ethnicity, and race, 2. Speech, behavior that is in
line with ethics is polite student words, for example greeting lecturers or guests
who come, say thank you if given something, apologize if they make a mistake,
say honestly, and so on. This small thing if it is accustomed since childhood will
foster a positive attitude. such attitudes for example respect the opinions of
others, be honest in words and behave, 3. Behavior, behavior that is subject to
religious behavior is certainly true behavior of money, which is in accordance
with ethics. these behaviors include empathy, respect, affection, and
togetherness.
If students are accustomed to living in an environment full of religious
habits, those habits will be embedded in them and applied wherever they are.
Likewise, his attitude in saying, thinking and behaving will always be based on
prevailing religious, moral and ethical norms. If this is applied in all schools or
universities, it will undoubtedly take the form of young generation who are
reliable, capital, and ethical.

Some examples of activities to develop a religious personality at the

university:

1. Students must always Pray or Be Thankful under any circumstances

2. Students carry out activities at the mosque that are useful

3. Students must always celebrate religious holidays according to their

religion.

4. Students must hold religious activities in accordance with their

religion will familiarize religious behavior. religious behavior can lead
students to behave according to ethics
