PASKUHAN SA PAARALAN 2022


NARRATIVE AND PICTORIAL

I. INTRODUCTION

Stakeholders and community participation in school’s program, project


and activities geared toward learners’ development is important. However, for
the past years, there has been minimal participation of the community in different
school activities at Quiterio San Jose Elementary School - Sitio Ibabaw Annex.
During meetings, whether face to face or online, few attendees were present. As
we try to reach out to the community members and their involvement with the
school projects and other plans, School administrators established our Facebook
page, however, few of them are engaged. Quiterio San Jose Elementary School
- Sitio Ibabaw Annex Administration, Teachers and parents agreed to propose a
project that will gain active participation of members of the community through
“Paskuhan sa Paaralan.”

This “Paskuhan sa Paaralan Project'' aims to develop collaboration


between and among different stakeholders of the school and in the community
as partners in translating the programs, projects and services of the school for the
optimum development of learners; increase participation and involvement of
everyone in the conduct of the project and other programs and activities of the
school; increase the knowledge of learners in the Filipino tradition and values in
celebrating Christmas; bring out creativity of the learners, parents and other
stakeholders in using recycled materials in decorating the facilities of Quiterio San
Jose Elementary School - Sitio Ibabaw Annex with Christmas theme decors;
inculcate the importance of recycling in reducing wastes and support the
school’s environmental program and RA 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste
Management Act of 2000.

II. OBJECTIVES
Paskuhan sa Paaralan aims to:

1. Increase the participation rate of the whole community, barangay officials


and parents to all school programs and projects religiously;
2. Inculcate among the community and parents the sense of co-ownership
in the different programs, projects and activities of the school;
3. Learn about the ways people celebrate the special programs and events
whether in school and in the community;
4. Showcase to every members of the community the different parts of the
schools, classrooms, and offices decorated by wonderfully spectacular
displays of Recycled Christmas lanterns and other colorful stuffs; and
5. Increase creativity in using indigenous and recycled materials in
decorating school facilities;
6. support the RA 9003 or Solid Waste Management Act by promoting 3Rs:
reduce, reuse, and recycle materials.

III. ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED


The Paskuhan sa Paaralan 2022, started by Planning the Christmas
tree Theme per Grade level. Last November 09, 2022, we had our Paskuhan sa
Paaralan 2022 Launching via Facebook Page. To promote our School Project to
parents and other stakeholders of the community. Then November 11, 2022, the
school conducted orientation to all the Grade Level participants together with
the parent representative and stakeholders of the community regarding the
Paskuhan sa Paaralan 2022. During the meeting our School Head talked about
the Paskuhan Ground Plan, Paskuhan Criteria and Mechanics, Paskuhan
Contingency Plan, Paskuhan Flow of the Program and Roles and Responsibilities.
After that all the parents of each grade level were all busy working together
preparing their Christmas tree for the first (November 25, 2020), second
(December 02, 2022) and (December 9, 2022) completion and final checking of
each Christmas tree. Then December 12, 2022, was the testing and inspection of
Christmas. December 16, 2022, all the Christmas tree and other decoration were
all ready for the opening.
The opening night of the Paskuhan sa Paaralan was very successful.
Lively music was played by the Teresa Municipal Band. The opening program was
attended by the different stakeholders of the school, LGU and visitors from
another town. The opening night is also the Judging of the Christmas tree. The
judges are Hon. Freddie Bonifacio Vice Mayor of Teresa, Hon. Eric Francisco
Barangay Captain of Dulumbayan, Hon. Nemen San Jose, Mr. Ramon Ducusin Jr.
Tourism Department of Teresa and Mr. Marvin Noces Community Relations
Officers of Republic Cement. On the second day of the Paskuhan sa Paaralan
the Zumba Ladies show their talent in Dancing to entertain the visitors. Then on
the third day, selected Grade 6 pupils performed. On the fourth day, the Fitness
Group show their dancing moves. And on the last day, the awarding night Mr.
Marvin Noces of Community Relation Officers of Republic Cement and our school
head Mr. Rene N. Concepcion announced the winners of the Paskuhan sa
Paaralan 2022. The Grade 3 got the first place, Grade 2 got the second place,
Grade 6 and Kindergarten got the third place and the Grade 4, 5, and 1
consolation prize. Everyone was very happy, the Paskuhan sa Paaralan became
successful and effective, the objectives of this project were achieved many
parents and people in the community participated and show their effort in
accomplishing the task. Because of the success of this project, our School Head
decided to open the school until December 30, to let the people in the
community enjoys the Christmas season.
