Lesson Learned The teachers of Doña Narcisa B. Vda. De Leon Elementary School attended
in the fourth day of INSET. They show enthusiasm to learn new things regarding
comprehensive sexuality education that protects and promotes the rights of learners
to health and to help develop responsible youth against the rising risks.
Best Practices with supporting The fourth day of the seminar was very productive. Speakers and all
pictures participants learned a lot through sharing of ideas. Activities were prepared to enrich
the learnings for every topic and documented properly.

NARRATIVE REPORT
In-Service Training (INSET) was implemented to continuously enhanced teachers’ skills, equipped them
with innovative strategies and develop their mental and psychosocial well-being. The fourth day of INSET in
Doña Narcisa B. Vda. De Leon Elementary School was held last Friday, February 9, 2023. It was held in the
conference room. All teachers and the school head – Dr. Ailie Riza SJ. Bernardo were already prepared to share
and learn new ideas. At exactly 8:00 o’clock in the morning the opening program started with the singing of
National Anthem conducted by Mrs. Elnora Y. Sincioco, Grade 1 Adviser, immediately followed by the prayer led
by Mrs. Flordeliza D. Bañez, Grade 2 Adviser. Participants were energetically responded in checking of
attendance facilitated by Mrs. Crizel G. Salvdor, Grade 6 Adviser. To formally start the INSET, Dr. Ailie Riza SJ.
Bernardo gave her opening remarks and inspirational message to speakers and participants. Before the INSET
proper, Mrs. Flordeliza D. Bañez, Grade 2 Adviser, facilitated the energizer through guessing game.
The first topic was DepEd Order no. 31, s. 2018 and discussed by Dr. Ailie Riza SJ. Bernardo, school
head. She explained the objectives and the goals of this policy. She reiterated that CSE framework is aligned
with the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum highlighting the different support systems like teachers, to make the
program effective and sustainable. She said that the implementation of CSE can be integrated across learning
areas.
The next speaker was Ms. Alexandra A. Espiritu, Grade 5 Adviser. She focused on the discussion of
Comprehensive Sexuality Education. She explained that the teachers are the main implementors of the CSE
curriculum; school head role is to ensure the CSE implementation, and; the role of parents, gurdians and familes
is to increase parent-to-child communication about sexuality; promotion of safety and well-being of
children/youth. The highlight of her discussion was the explanation of sample integration of comprehensive
sexuality education standards to the K to 10 curriculum. Together with the participants, sample integration in
different learning areas from Kindergarten to grade 6 was analyzed. Lastly, she gave a copy of CSE integration
modules to be used in elementary.
