Directions:
Answer all items and discuss them explicitly and support your answer by references. Make
appropriate use of theory of empirical and historical knowledge.
1. What is the importance of professional ethics in relation to your job as public servant?
Ethics in public service is an important aspect of what public administrators do on
a daily basis. There is no place for anything other than complete transparency in
operations.
It represents truthfulness, responsibility, integrity, empathy, and simply
recognizing the difference between right and wrong. This also involves functioning
strictly based on policy.
Government agencies construct strong mission statements to maintain stringent
organizational values and ethics. Following a code of ethics guarantees that the public
gets what it needs in a timely and equitable way. It also gives the administration
guidelines for integrity in their operations. That integrity, in turn, helps foster the trust of
the community.
2. Propose a seminar/training design for your school with the following elements:
a) Title
b) Brief Rationale and Objectives
c) Target Participants
d) Resource Speakers
e) Resources (Human and Materials)
f) Strategies
g) Success indicator
Rationale:
Covid19 pandemic has radically altered people's life, causing school and daily routines to
be disrupted. Concerns about one's safety, inability to visit friends and family, and concerns
about one's future have all led to a rise in mental health issues. Thus, this training design
below is created for the mental health awareness and management of teachers.

3. You have collected data from the Fortune 500 companies regarding their top 5 highest
paid employees (such as CEOs, president, etc.) You have the following information on
these 2,500 workers: demographics (gender, age, and education), time in months at the
company, and salary. Your research question is whether gender makes a difference in
salary. In detail, explain what descriptive and inferential statistics you would use to
answer this question. Also specify the type of variables that you are using in the
analysis. You may provide an outline of tables or graphs that you would use in your
analysis. Also, provide a discussion of the limitations and strengths of the research
design.
This study aims to determine the factors affecting the income of employees
among Fortune 500 companies. The study will obtain data based on the 2500 workers
who belongs to the top 5 highest paid employees (such as CEOs, president, etc.) The
variables will include respondents’ demographics (gender, age, and education), time in
months at the company, and salary.
The questionnaire will be utilized as the data gathering instrument, and the
descriptive research method will be employed. The survey questionnaires and data
collection will be done online to ensure compliance with the Inter Agency Task Force
(IATF). The respondents will receive the questions through Google Forms. The statistical
tools that will be used in this study include frequency, percentage, ranking, weighted
mean, and Pearson (r) moment correlation, and T-Test.
4. Administrators are continuously faced with the task of making decisions about issues,
personnel problems, operational procedures, etc. Discuss the dynamics of the decision-
making process.
The finest decisions are produced when a reasonable, analytical, and non-
emotional process is used. Thankfully, such a procedure has been established and taught
2
for a long time. This generally regarded excellent decision-making procedure (also
Page
known as the Traditional Decision-Making Process) includes the following steps:

1. Define the problem.
2. Identify decision criteria.
3. Allocate weights and measures to the various criteria
4. Develop some alternatives to consider.
5. Evaluate the various alternatives.
6. Select the best (or highest ranked) alternative.
7. Evaluate the effectiveness of the decision
5. A small group of parents and citizens has attacked two textbooks being used in a
science course. Discuss the steps you would take to respond to this attack.
• Find out why the textbook is being attacked by parents and citizens. If it's a question of
personal convictions, such as evolution, allow them to sit out of class during difficult
teachings and give them an alternate task.
• Listen to their issues, address them, and be kind.
• Ask the science department if they agree or disagree with the parents in a group
meeting. The textbook must, above all, be standards-aligned. If not, there will be a major
issue. Perhaps the parents' objections are similar to those of the science instructors. Find
out why the teachers enjoy the textbook and make a list of at least three reasons.
• Meet with the district to ensure that all school representatives are on the same page.
Make a time to meet with all of the parents about scientific texts.
• Parents and residents will be invited to review textbooks that are expected to be
accepted during the upcoming textbook adoption process (this is standard procedure).
• Make sure book is on state adoption list and aligned with DepEd science standards.
• Educate parents and citizens as to why it is an appropriate textbook.
• Refer them to the Director of Curriculum.
6. From your learnings in educational theory, research, and pedagogy, describe how you
make sound decisions for creating best practices in your educational setting.
As a principal, I would promote maximum participation of the school staff in the
decision-making process within my school by referring to Roland Barth’s Personal
Vision in order to create BEST PRACTICES towards atmosphere of collaboration and
consensus.

Effective leaders of the 21st Century should ensure that all school staff is
participating in the decision-making process. Through collaboration and consensus
building the staff can work together to make the most optimal decisions.
7. Discuss fully why plagiarism is strictly prohibited in research course. Does the penalty
of withdrawing the degree issued to a graduate student commensurate the violation?
To begin, it is unethical since it is stealing. You are stealing someone else's
intellectual property when you take someone else's ideas and words and claim them as
your own. Second, it is immoral since the plagiarizer reaps the rewards of the theft.
Plagiarism is forbidden not just because copyright infringement punishes the
offender, but also because it harms all creatives and writers whose ideas are "stolen." The
penalty for plagiarism must depend on the severity of the act. Consequences may include:
a lower grade, academic suspension or probation, automatically failing the course, or
even expulsion.
8. You are about to make a Research paper as a salient requirement for MAED major in
EDMGT program. Propose a title and a brief Statement of the Problem (3 general
questions and 1 specific question) for the chosen title.
IMPLEMENTATION OF LEARNING MODALITIES AMIDST PANDEMIC: TOWARDS
DEVELOPING PUPILS’ READING ABILITY
The study intends to assess the level of implementation of learning modalities amidst pandemic
in public elementary schools towards developing reading ability.
Specifically, it seeks answers to the following questions:
1. What is the level of implementation of learning modalities in public
elementary schools as
assessed by the teachers in terms of:

1.2 student discipline and motivation
1.3 school - home relationship?
2. What is the level of pupils’ reading ability in terms of:
2.1 Word Recognition
2.2 Vocabulary Development
2.3 Reading Comprehension
3. Is there a significant relationship between the level of
implementation of learning modalities amidst pandemic and level
of pupils’ reading ability?
4. What strategic programs can be developed to strengthen learning
modalities in public elementary schools towards developing
pupils’ reading ability?

SIP and the 5-year plan aim to equip people involved in school planning with a
systematic, evidence-based approach that starts with the learner's perspective. It is
envisioned that it would eventually assist schools in achieving their objective of
delivering quality education to all students. Both give a roadmap that lays out specific
actions that a school will implement over the consecutive school years with the aid of the
community and other stakeholders.
10. Give strategies in educational planning for quality education.
Planning for quality education include a thorough knowledge of the objectives to
be met, the development of plans and strategies, and ongoing monitoring to verify that
everything is progressing as planned.
REMINDER:
• After the examination, kindly return the questionnaire along with your answer
sheets inside the brown envelope.
• Cheating is strictly prohibited; it will invalidate the answer sheet.
GOOD LUCK!
