THUMB HOLD

Worry & Sleep


Are you experiencing worry or depression? Are you filled with nervous
energy? Do you have difficulty going to or staying asleep? In balance, we
feel a sense of safety and security. Try holding farther into the base of the
thumb for further relaxation for sleep, especially if you awaken in the
middle of the night.

INDEX HOLD

Fear & Anxiety


Are you experiencing fear, anxiety or overwhelm? Do you dread speaking
in front of a group or taking a test? Is it difficult for you to be in contact
with others? Do you dread parties or events with lots of people and
activity? In balance, freedom from fear is restored.

MIDDLE HOLD

Anger & Control


Are you angry or irritable? Do you feel the need to control all situations?
Maybe your life feels out of your control. Do you feel emotionally frozen?
In balance, one is more accepting of the present situation and
compassionate towards others, including yourself.

Sadness & Grief


Do you have deep long-lasting sadness or grief? Do you cry easily when it
doesn’t feel appropriate? Are you longing for the way life used to be? In
balance, one can release the deep sense of loss and become receptive to
the “new” as joy returns.

Do you say "Yes" to everything to please others? Are you overdoing it?
