BPP University's Professional Development and Planning session was an exciting and educational experience
for me. I had the opportunity to delve into several facets of professional development throughout the session,
including resume and cover letter writing, optimization of LinkedIn profile, and establishing professional skills
for effective engagement with recruiters and clients. In addition, I was honored to receive third place for one of
the workshop assignments, which added to my entire experience.
What I liked best about the course was how realistic and involved the lessons were. The course organizers used
real-life examples and encouraged active involvement, allowing us to put our newfound knowledge to use.
Activities such as résumé writing exercises, mock interviews, and networking simulations make learning fun
and memorable.
In addition, I improved my ability to write engaging resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles that are
tailored to specific job openings. I learned how to properly highlight my talents and expertise to pique the
interest of potential employers. In addition, I improved my verbal and writing communication abilities, which
are essential in professional contexts.
I am now more aware of my skills and flaws because of the course.
I realized that my capacity for quick adaptation and learning is one of my strongest suits. The workshop's
principles and methods were easy for me to understand and put into practice. I also learned that I had excellent
organizational abilities and the capacity to plan and strategize well.
However, I also became conscious of my room for improvement. One area that I need to improve is my
negotiation abilities. I recognize the value of practicing and honing these abilities to become more skilled in
professional negotiations, even if the session offered insightful information on negotiating tactics.
I was able to identify my strengths in adaptability, quick learning, and organizational skills thanks to the
workshop, which also made me aware of how much I needed to work on my negotiation skills. Overall, the
workshop made a big contribution to my professional growth by providing me with the knowledge and abilities
I'll need to succeed in my field.
