    I. Title of the Activity: SCHOOL LEARNING ACTION CELL ON EARLY LANGUAGE,


    LITERACY AND NUMERACY FOCUSING ON PERSUASIVE
    STORYTELLING

    II. Proponent: Paaralang Elementarya ng NAKAL, Lucban District

    III. Rationale:

    The Department of Education (DepEd) issues the enclosed policy on The


    Learning Action Cell (LAC) as a K to 12 Basic Education Program School-Based
    Continuing Professional Development Strategy for the Improvement of Teaching and
    Learning in accordance with the implementation of Republic Act No. 10533, or the
    Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013. The DepEd Paaralang Elementarya ng NAKAL
    fully supports the continuing professional development of its teaching personnel through
    this policy, which is based on the principle of lifelong learning and the DepEd's
    commitment to the development of teachers' potential aimed at their success in the
    profession.
    Paaralang Elementarya ng NAKAL accomplishes this through the school-based
    LAC, which primarily serves as a professional learning community for teachers,
    assisting them in improving practice and learner achievement in Early Language,
    Literacy, and Numeracy.
    This LAC session will provide teachers with the opportunity to continue their
    professional development in developing a classroom full of pupils who listen to stories
    and participate in read aloud activities from the best storytellers, the teachers with the
    participation of parents as part of Parents' Academy, as school partners.

    IV. Objective

    At the end of the training, every participants is expected to:

    1. understand about persuasive storytelling;


    2. adopt persuasive storytelling in improving early childhood literacy;
    3. apply persuasive storytelling in classroom setting
