Topic : “Teaching Model with Multi Approach”

Every student is unique. Students have different learning style, needs, motivation levels,
abilities, and strength. To facilitate an inclusive, effective learning environment, teachers,
therefore need to be flexible and provide various multi approach in teaching that will support
the need for differentiated instruction, considering all learning needs and helping every
student succeed. As an educator myself, I know that my students come to school with a wide
variety of learning styles. They have their optimum learning method. Some will learn pretty fast
when they read texts while others prefer to just listen. There is yet another group of students
that will need a practical demonstration for whatever they have learned. That is why it is
necessary for me as a teacher to identify the students learning styles to cater those needs. As
such, the ideal educational experience that a teacher should provide must represent all
modes and support each of our students learning styles.

Learning styles are the basis on how students learn. These are experienced in different
ways by each of the senses; usually visual, auditory, or tactile. They often interact with each
other, creating a dynamic learning experience in which students use to absorb information.
On one hand, students’ motivation is an internal drive of the students to do a task on their own
will. In this webinar I learned that we should combine two or more multimodal learning modes
to provide a well-rounded educational experience for students. Since school environments
have diverse student populations with a wide variety of learning styles, a multimodal approach
helps each student achieve academic success in their own way. Multimodal learning style
works most effectively with many communication inputs, or modes. A multimodal learner will
thrive in a comprehensive learning environment that uses visual, auditory, and kinesthetic
inputs in both verbal and non-verbal, including videos, images, actions, real-life examples and
hands-on activities that will actively engage students.

Therefore, I must provide my students an educational environment that are optimized

for multi approach learning, every student has the opportunity to learn and grow in their own
way. That is why as a teacher we must develop instructional styles that work well in diverse
classrooms. Effective teaching methods engage gifted students, as well as slow-learning
children and those with attention deficit tendencies. This is where differentiated instruction and
a balanced mix of teaching styles can help reach all students in a given classroom, not just
the few who respond well to one particular style of teaching. As traditional teaching styles
evolve with the advent of differentiated instruction, we must adjust our approaches
depending on students’ learning needs. In the simplest terms, differentiated instruction means
keeping all students in mind when developing lesson plans and workbook exercises, lectures,
and interactive learning. The strategies and approaches will surely help students increase their
focus, improve their grades, regulate their emotions, and feel more grown up. By giving them
the time, support, and tools they need to focus, we can help them become better learners
and develop the confidence and perseverance they need to succeed in school and in life.
