    Mono Acting Competition

    Introduction:

    Independence Day is a significant day in the history of many nations. It is a day


    when the country commemorates the freedom struggle and honors the freedom
    fighters who fought for the nation's independence. While the country celebrates
    the day with much pomp and splendor, there are unsung heroes who have played
    an important role in the freedom struggle but have not received the recognition
    they deserve. Therefore, the celebration of Independence Day should not only be
    limited to honoring the known freedom fighters, but also to celebrate the unsung
    heroes.

    Background:

    Independence Day is a day to remember the sacrifices of the brave men and
    women who fought for their country's freedom. The day marks the end of the
    colonial era and the beginning of a new era of independence. However, it is often
    seen that the contributions of many unknown freedom fighters are overlooked.
    These unsung heroes, who worked tirelessly in the background, played a crucial
    role in the freedom struggle. These heroes may have been ordinary citizens who
    supported the movement, or they may have been members of the armed forces
    who fought in the wars. Nonetheless, their contributions were instrumental in
    shaping the destiny of the country.

    Celebration of Unsung Heroes:

    The celebration of Independence Day should not only be limited to flag hoisting
    and patriotic speeches. It should also include honoring the unsung heroes who
    have played a significant role in the freedom struggle. The celebration of unsung
    heroes is done with the mono-acting competition organised by SOD.

    Students performed their mono act and Shri Dhananjay Deshpande was invited
    as a jury. Our HOD Dr Amol Deshmukh delivered a speech on how the unsung
    heroes are important to celebrate as a conservation of our heritage and culture
    and history. At the end, prize was distributed to the winners and Mr. Dhananjay
    Deshpande delivered a speech to all the participants.
    Conclusion:

    The celebration of Independence Day should not only be limited to honoring the
    known freedom fighters, but also to celebrate the unsung heroes. The
    contribution of the unsung heroes in the freedom struggle is immense, and it is
    high time that their sacrifices are recognized and appreciated. The celebration of
    the unsung heroes can inspire the younger generation and create a sense of
    patriotism and pride in their country's history. Therefore, it is important to
    celebrate the unsung heroes on Independence Day and pay tribute to their
    immense contributions.
