Acknowledgement
The successful completion of this SBA would not have been possible
without the assistance and cooperation of my family members and
friends. I would like to convey my heartfelt appreciation to my teacher
Miss Elliot for motivating and guiding me through the completion of my
Social Based Assignment. I would also like to thank my parents for their
support in taking time off to work and assisting me in gathering data and
research materials. Special thanks to the people who participated in my
community in helping me fill out the questionnaires, without their input
I wouldn’t have gathered information on lifestyle choices.
BACKGROUND/OBSERVATION
All around the world people have been obese for years. This is a very serious
and noxious practice and it is believed to have caused many unhealthy
issues in society.
PROBLEM STATEMENT

RESEARCH OBJECTIVE
To determine if the unhealthy lifestyle of obesity has affected society.
Methodology
The researched data in this SBA was accumulated by questionnaires which is a
set of printed or written questions with a choice of answers, devised for the
purposes of a survey or statistical study. The usage of
questionnaires brought a series of advantage to the research:
The data is easily analyzed, calculated and interpreted.
Help to gather information from respondents in a cheap, quick and
effective way.
. It requires less time to complete.
It helps person to express their views confidentially
We handed out 20 questionnaires to the different communities of St. Elizabeth.
The researcher decided to use a questionnaire, which requires no personal
information from citizens. You are advised to answer the following questions
honestly, since you are not required to write any names anywhere, no one will
ever know what your answers are. There are no right or wrong answers. All of
the questions can be answered by a simple tick in the box.
