Baby Yoda Amigurumi

Pattern by AmbrosCrochet
Every part of Baby Yoda, apart from the face details and the clothing, is worked in rounds -
do not join at the end of each round.
Finished size: approximately 16.5 cm x 19 cm (6.5 inches x 7.5 inches)
Yarn: I use 100% acrylic yarn - Schachenmayr Bravo, to be precise; I use a green, a light
beige and a dusty brown. You can use whatever colors and yarn work for you.
Crochet hook: 3 mm
You will also need: scissors
pins
toy stuffing
tapestry needle (or needle and thread)
toy stuffing
14 mm safety eyes (or needle and black thread if you wish to
embroider the eyes)

Abbreviations and stitches used: magic ring

single crochet = sc
increase = inc
decrease = dec
chain = ch
front loops only = flo
back loops only = blo
half-double crochet = hdc
double crochet = dc
fasten off = f/o

How to read the pattern: rnd x → we are working on round x

(x sc, inc/dec) * y → the instructions between
parentheses have to be repeated y times; (x sc, inc/dec)
means we will work one single crochet in each x stitches,
and then work one increase or one decrease into the next
stitch. For example, (3 sc, inc) * 6 means: work one single
crochet in each of the next three stitches, one increase in
the fourth stitch; repeat six times
x sc, inc/dec → work one single crochet in each of the x
stitches, then work one increase/decrease in the next
stitch

turn (50)
row 10: 1 sc in each of the next 50 sc (50)

Assembling

Ears
fold one corner of the ear -
approximately three stitches.
Remember to fold opposite corners on
the ears.

6
Attach the ears to the head - the ears
should cover rnd 9 to 17, and they should
each be 5 stitches apart from the safety
eyes - don't cut one of the yarn tails yet as
we will use it to shape the face.

Face details

Place the face details - they should

cover rnd 6 to 12, curving around
the eyes; on rnd 12 the face details
should be 2 stitches away from the
eyes.

Arms

Attach the arms to rnd 27 of the

body.

7
Shape the face and the nose

Using the tail we left from one of the ears, insert the needle in the lower inner corner of
one of the eyes and have it come out in the same spot but on the other eye; pull so that
the eyes are closer together, and repeat these steps back and forth for three or four times.

Using some green yarn and a tapestry needle, make the nose covering four single crochets
between the eyes.

8
Tunic

Dress Baby Yoda with the tunic and sew the

front of the tunic - you can also fold the
sleeves and sew them.

Scarf

Wrap the scarf around Baby Yoda's neck

and sew the front of it - you can also sew a
couple of stitches from the scarf to the
tunic to secure it.
