Observing Adult-Child Interactions

The document discusses Bandura's social learning theory and Tolman's purposive behaviorism theory. For social learning theory, the student believes people can learn through observation and environmental influences. For purposive behaviorism, the student thinks goal-directed behavior is important, as gaining experience helps people find ways to achieve goals even after failures. The student's own theory as a future teacher would incorporate setting goals, using positive reinforcement like rewards, and testing different learning strategies.

ACTIVITY 1 (BEHAVIORISM)

1. Observation
a. Choose a place where you can observe adult-child interactions – such as mall, in
church, parks or at the playground, etc. Spend one hour observing such adult-child
interactions. Focus your attention on the stimulus – response – consequence patter you
observe.
b. Describe the consequences you observe. (It is better to write or scribble the details on
the spot or as soon as you finish your observation).

Every Thursday and Wednesday, I go to church. I usually observe that adult and child
interactions were having a conversation in which they are interacting each other. All children
greeted the adult and shaking their hands for being grateful that they met at church. Others had
their own world like they were just sitting at the chairs but and also others were praying.
Sometimes adults give their snacks to the children because they are hungry but of course after
the service. Before that adults will remind those children that it should be eaten because it’s a
blessings. Adults are always looking for children because in church we are all brothers and
sisters.

ACTIVITY 2 (CONNECTIONISM)

Primary Law How I would apply the Primary Law

As a future educator before starting my lesson I will give
some activity to my students so that they can have their
Law of Readiness insights or they will have ideas if what my topic all about

In teaching my lesson, I have my questions or activity
Law of Effect. Indicate again to make sure that my students learned from my
Specifically how you will use discussions and with the exchange of that I have my
positive/negative rewards like giving food so that they can have their
reinforcements (rewards) additional snacks and plus points for their performance.
In learning, we take many ways so that we can achieve
what we want. I will going to make plenty of strategies so
Law of Exercise that I can test what is the effective way to apply in
learning, like for example in memorizing poem it need
strategy or techniques so that I can make sure that what
