 Following Directions

 Cooperating
 Using manners
How do you go about your weaknesses?
 I'm attempting to prevent that flaw by refraining from interjecting as soon
as talks come to a halt. Some people require more time to gather their
thoughts than others, and a little pause allows them to contemplate what
others have said before speaking.

2. Go over the social literacy skills. Ask an adult and a peer about their
thoughts on these and try to compare with your own opinion. Use separate
sheet/s as needed.
 I questioned a high school classmate about her thoughts on social skills,
and she stated that social literacy is a person's ability to live in and
contribute to his or her community, which includes intellectual abilities,
social skills, cooperative skills, and attitudes and values. After that, I
compared her response to my perspective on social skills, and I believe we
are on the same thought. Perhaps that's because we're both taking
Education as a course and have learnt the same thing about it.

3. Pair with a classmate and discuss Vygotsky’s socio-cultural theory in

relation to the acquisition of social literacy skills. Screenshot your discussion
on messenger then submit through Google Classroom.

Comprehension Check
1. Craft your own definition of Social literacy.
 Social literacy refers to a student's ability to perform and comprehend
social skills, organizational skills, and communication abilities. It is the
students' capacity to successfully connect with others around them.
2. As a future educator/educator, what tasks do you provide your students to
enhance their social skills? Explain these tasks.
 As a future schoolteacher, I will place the isolated student in a position of
leadership in the classroom, making his peers reliant on him. This can also
help him gain acceptance and prominence among his peers. I will keep in
mind that this may be a new role for him, and he may want some
supervision from you to assure his success.

3. Why do social skills differ from one child to another? How can you apply
your knowledge on ZPD in educating intellectually and socially-diverse learners?
 I believe that social skills change from one child to the next based on the
following factors: parental engagement, child personality, and opportunity.
A youngster who has never been to a restaurant cannot be expected to
know how to behave unless she is told, shown, and reminded throughout
the experience by an accompanying adult. A particularly quiet kid, or one
who has been picked on at school for responding in ways that differ from
those anticipated by the instructor, may avoid new situations and hence
lack the social skills of an outgoing child whose parents expose her to new
experiences on a regular basis. In applying my knowledge on ZPD, I will
instruct in small steps according to the tasks a child is already able to do
independently. This strategy is referred to as scaffolding. I will also support
and assist the child until he or she can complete all of the steps
independently.
4. They say that the level of social skills can “make or break” the future of an
individual. Do you agree? Defend your answer.
 I agree since social skills may lead to either success or destruction. It is
important to maintain balance and control over talents and abilities.

 My current budget pie chart is not at all like my ideal budget pie chart.
Because those are the items I can afford right now, I set my budget in
personal food, allowance/extra money, and load in the Current Budget Pie
Chart. I included electric bills, internet, and some household appliances in
my Ideal Budget Pie Chart. It is my wish to help my mother financially,

Comprehension Check
1. Make a narrative of your stand on criminalizing the act of Plagiarism in the
Academe especially on their research and creative works by mentioning your
arguments.
 I think that individuals who plagiarized should be punished so that they
understand that plagiarism is never beneficial. Plagiarism is a serious
offense that may be equated to stealing; the difference is that what was
taken was someone else's work or an idea. Being a plagiarizer, especially in
research, is bad since you do not give credit to the person who wrote about
a certain concept or topic. If one individual chooses to plagiarize instead of
offering fresh ideas through research, they would simply destroy the true
goal of study, which was never acceptable.
2. Political personalities have been involved in the issue of plagiarism especially
on their speeches in addressing the nation or a group of people. React on this,
“Plagiarism is a betrayal of public trust” and relate it to this statement, “A
political wrong, is a social wrong and every social wrong is a moral wrong”.
 As a politician, you must be open, honest, and knowledgeable in front of
the people figure. You must earn each person's trust and respect in order
for them to believe you, support you, and want you to be their leader. If you
indulge in any form of plagiarism, especially if you are a famous figure, you
will lose your dignity. You lose your vote, and they lose faith in you. Why is
it vital to strive to be a near-perfect individual or public servant? You are
their leader, and you act as a role model in society. Plagiarism is stealing; if
you can't be trusted in a tiny scenario, you're stealing. In a big
circumstance, he also cannot be trusted. They are always aware of your
transgressions because you have lost their respect and trust They will not
believe you anymore. A political error can have an impact on society, as can

residents below yours, but keep in mind that it is entirely up to them
whether or not they want you to be their leader.

Module 4: Cyber Literacy/ Digital Literacy

Enrichment Activities
1. How do you think each of the following individuals felt in the case:
 The student victim- He is depressed since no one is taking action in his case
and believed him, denying the charge made against him by his a classmate
on social media.
 Parents of the student- They are disappointed with the school, instructor,
and administration. The circumstance of their child is viewed by DepEd staff.
 Teacher – adviser- They felt guilty.
 Dep Ed division personnel- They felt bad for not taking legal action sooner,
before the student committed suicide.
 Classmates of the victim- If the charge is untrue, they should feel guilty and
afraid because they are aware of the repercussions of their bullying.
 Law enforcement- Since the issue has occurred, they will become more
engaged and focused.
 General Public- They will be upset for the pupils and disappointed for those
employees who expected to pursue legal action, as well as fearful for their
child that it will happen again.
2. What lessons do you take from the case?
 Every side should be heard. Take legal action and prioritize it. You'll never
know how the victims felt in this type of circumstance as well as genuine
villains It should be set up within a room or at a classroom since it was a
dispute between pupils. Make a move, and the laws will follow. It is critical
to execute and instruct pupils.
3. Do important people in your life talk with you about the dangers of certain
online behavior?
 No one, but I am aware of my limitations, dos and don’ts. I am a
responsible media consumer who uses it for amusement and education.
only.
4. Do young people of today, fully understand the consequences of their online
activity? Why or why not?
 In my opinion, individuals are not entirely aware of the ramifications of
their social media actions. Schools are doing their best to teach children
about cyberbullying, but the students are the problem. Young people are
easily manipulated, and they will do everything to get what they want, even

if it means causing harm to others. If young people actually grasp the

implications of their actions, why are there so many victims of
cyberbullying and suicide attempts as a result? Social media has taken over
their lives, and they have forgotten the ethics and ethical methods to utilize
social media.
