A Semi Detailed Lesson Plan in English 4

I. Objectives
By the end of the lesson, the pupils are expected to:
a) define what is regular and irregular verbs
b) differentiate the regular and irregular verbs
c) recognize and use forms of some simple regular verbs and some irregular verbs.

II. Subject Matter:


A. Topic: Identifying Regular and Irregular Verbs
B. Reference: English 4 Book
C. Materials: Laptop, PowerPoint presentation, and video presentation.

III. Procedures
A. Preparation
The teacher will begin the class by greeting the students, leading the prayer, and
checking the attendance.

B. Motivation
The teacher will present a video about the story and the class will tell to their teacher
the words that are underlined.

C. Lesson Proper
 The teacher will present the lesson thru PowerPoint to discussed to the learners
what is the meaning of regular and irregular verbs and also giving examples.
 The teacher will present a video about the topic for them to better understand.
D. Activity
The teacher will present a 5 words in a simple form and the learners will tell to their
teacher what is the past form of those words.

E. Generalization
The teacher will ask the learner if what is regular and irregular verbs. The teacher will
ask the learners what is the difference of regular and irregular verb.

IV. Evaluation
The teacher will give an activity, the learners will underline the regular and irregular
verbs in each sentences.

V. Assignment
Advance reading for the next topic.
