II. Rationale:

Gender refers to the specific set of characteristics that identifies the social behavior of
women and men and the relationship between them and the way it is socially
constructed. Since gender biases exist which prevent people from attaining their full
potentials, development is impeded.

On the other hand, , the government ensures that everyone in the academe as well as
the other stakeholders will be equipped with the knowledge, information and data on
COVID pandemic as well as to ensure that skills and services will be provided to
easily cope and deal with the anxieties that brings about by the pandemic. Likewise,
physical, mental, emotional and psychosocial facet of an individual is in dire need of
outmost attention.

III. Objectives:

This seminar program aims to achieve the following objectives:

 To enable teachers, school support personnel, parents and pupils understand

the concepts of and promote gender equality and equity;
 To increase awareness on the COVID 19 pandemic and its impact to the
society;
