can handle his emotions alone. He is not that good academically but he is really friendly and active in
playing basketball.
Conclusions
After the observation and analysis, I can conclude that school and home are both important in
honing a child’s physical, social and cognitive aspect. As the children's learning begins at home, where
they learn appropriate values, attitudes and behaviors or discipline. The support a child receives at
home is essential to their holistic development. Rules and how they are disciplined at home can have
a major impact on children's behavior as they grow up in and out of school, along with their
motivation to keep learning and doing things better everywhere.
Recommendations
After the analyzation on the student performance I can recommend that the p arents
should be responsible for properly guiding and disciplining their children. They should encourage
and support them to do what they love, their habits and focus on their studies to be successful and
feel fulfilled in life. They need to be careful and aware of how their kid is doing so they don’t feel
worthless. On the other hand, the teacher should support the development of the learners by meeting
their needs and interests as they move through life.
ANALYZE
Your findings and recommendations in the learner development profile will help you
answer the following questions here.
1) From your home. Visit and interview. What do you think? Is this style of parenting experience
by the teacher? Explain your answer.
- As I see, the style of parenting that is experience by the learner is Permissive parenting
where the parents are not firm and controlling to the learner. The parent just has few
expectations to learner. They are not that involved in the emotional aspect of the student
yet they didn’t neglect their child’s feeling.
2) Relating your data with what you learned from child development, what family factors do you
think contribute to the development and over-all adjustment of the learner in school?
- From what I have learned and gathered data, I can say that the family factors that
contribute to the child’s development are the communication and emotional bond inside
their home. The learner is not that open to what he feels to his parents and he just obey or
disregard whatever his parents is telling him.
3) Does the communication between the homes-school have an effect on the learner? If yes, what
are these effects?
- Yes, it has an effect on the learner. This would bring big effects on the social, physical and
emotional development of the learner. It may lead to low self-esteem of the students

inside their home and school. It may also affect the interest of the students to take part in

his own learning and development. So, having good communication between home and as

REFLECT
1) Reflect on your own development as a child. What type of parenting did you experience? How did
it affect you?
- As a child, the parenting style that I’ve experience is Permissive style. When I was growing my
parents doesn’t expect anything from me but they just support me on what I want to do. They
were not controlling at all but they still set rules. Maybe, their only top expectation for me is
to finished my study and have a degree. We are not that intimate to each other. We don’t have
clear communication inside our house and we barely talk to each other whether we have
problems. So, because of this I’ve become contented on what I have achieved in the past years
of my life. I am not pressured to become part of any organizations and top of our class. I also
become socially awkward and have a hard time to talk to anyone I know. I think I become
emotionally strong because I’ve learned to manage anything that bothers me alone.
2) As a future teacher, how would you establish good home-school collaboration? How can you work
well with the parents? How can you help them? How can they help you?
- As a future teacher, I will see to it that I work well with the parents, I will keep them
constantly informed about the situation and progress of their child. I can ask them to have the
child's background so that I can understand and solve the problems related to their child's
learning and behavior. In that case they can help me to help their children.
