PAROL MAKING CONTEST GUIDELINES

The primary purpose of the Parol contest is to encourage each class to perpetuate the creation of
Christmas symbol in the Philippines which graces the windows, doorways and streets during this season.
This also diverts students’ attention and provides a venue for artistic expression. This activity would
make everybody feel the spirit of Christmas amidst the pandemic.

The contest is open to all classes/section/block of Central Taytay Senior High School Stand-Alone. We
highly encourage 100% participation of all classes. Only one entry per class and make sure to be guided
of the following:

Parol must be of any shape or design.

Size should be 1 meter (measured in height, width or diameter).

Parol must be colorful and hand made.

No commercially made Parol may be entered in the contest.

Parol must be made of locally available materials.

Lights are required.

Submission of Parol entry will be on December 5, 2021 at SSG office. It will be judged by selected set of
judges on December 10, 2021. The

CRITERIA:

CREATIVITY 40%

PRESENTATION (Use of color, neatness, durability) 20%

FOLLOWING MECHANICS 20%

TOTAL 100%

PRIZES:

1ST PRIZE- Php. 3,000 plus certificate

2ND PRIZE- Php. 2,000 plus certificate

3rd PRIZE- Php. 1,000 plus certificate
