What will you do to assist your mentor in setting up a conducive learning environment in the following
conditions:
1. Bulletin Board Display
I will give my mentor an idea like the information must be clear and simple to comprehend. The most
efficient technique to convey reading material on a bulletin board is to utilize dark colored letters on a
light background. The content on the board will be neater and simpler to understand if it is typed out
rather than handwritten.
2. Small Group Discussion
For my mentor I will that he/she allow students to express themselves without having to speak in
front of the entire class. The structure of small-group talks varies. Students are divided into small
groups and democratically discuss a prompt offered by the instructor in a simple small-group
discussion. Often, a member of a group is chosen to present the highlights of their conversation to the
entire class. Facilitating a highly structured small-group conversation requires more preparation, but it
can give students with a richer and more inclusive experience.
3. Checking class attendance in a virtual classroom (i.e. google meet or zoom)
I will give my mentor 3 tips oh how he/she can check the attendance of his/her students
TIP 1: In Google Classroom, ask a YES/NO attendance question. Create a new question to ask
students each day in your classroom; this will help you track attendance, and the assignment’s
simplicity will make it more likely that they will complete it. When they attend, have them select
“yes.” Students would click “no” if they had an emergency or an appointment.
TIP 2: Ask a Question of the Day: This is a fun method to keep track of student attendance while also
encouraging class conversation It gets students discussing and thinking about questions they could
have. When students select a day’s response, it indicates that they were present in class.
TIP 3: Establish a weekly check-in to keep track of attendance while also meeting the social-
emotional needs of all children. Make a Google Form and ask questions such, “How are you feeling
this week?” What’s on your mind right now? Choose the emoji that best expresses your current
mood. Do you need to see me today for a check-in? These are excellent ways to determine how pupils
are feeling; they may be too embarrassed to express themselves in class or in a chat box. This form
verifies that they were in class and validates their feelings.
Notice
Learning Environment 1:
What have you noticed of the display in the class bulletin board? What message or theme does
it convey?
As I can see it has a lot of colors and it actually blended perfectly it is a rounded
bulletin board to create more unique style and its design contains A teacher in the left
and a some glittery raffles at every sides of the bulletin also a book that shows a word
which they can learn and play at the same time also with a title “Learning is Free You
Need To Grab It” it conveys that all we have to do is to explore new things we are the
creators of our own knowledge and they are just a guide.
What makes it attractive to the learners?
Because of its creativeness and a colorful background makes it more attractive and
enjoyable.
Does it help in the learning process? How?
Because all the information are timely and relevant also it is accurate for the students
stage of development.
Learning Environment 2:
If the teacher is using a distance delivery of learning through the modules, where is most likely
the learning space of the students?
I think some of the students will rely on the internet to answer their modules and the
learning space of the students will no longer be present.
Analyze
The examples above, describe two contrasting situations. The first shows that the
learners are in the same room or space while in the second, the learners may be
different learning spaces like homes, study hubs or in extreme cases parks or under
the trees.
As the teacher in which of the two situations would you prefer to manage full
learning? Choose between Learning Environment 1 or Learning Environment 2.
Explain your choice why?
For me I would choose situation 1 because as a teacher we need know our
obligations as a teacher, we are the one who’s in charge of students through their
journey and as we can see if a student does have different rooms for learning they
will not learn fully, they have needs to accomplish every task and if they don’t
have the capacity to provide those needs then it creates a barrier to their
development and different approach to things they are encounter.
Reflect
REFLECT
What solution can I think of to solve the problem?
We need to make a full effort to supply the needs of our students, as a
teacher it is our profession to give a high quality teaching. If their
situation is for example they don’t have a room for studying then we
need to provide a best option that everyone can benefit with or without
internet or even where they are.
PLAN
How should I do it?
By providing double effort plus giving them hard and soft copies of the
lesson so they will have an access to the lesson also by getting help to
our brgys or municipal staffs so can provide materials to support the
students.
Work on my Artifacts
In not less than 300 words, write an essay on the topic: “My Conducive Learning
Environment”
One of the most important aspects of a conducive learning
environment is by having a comfortable physical area where students
can sit comfortably, see and understand what their instructor is saying,
and socialize with their peers. Every child is unique. By looking at the
board and listening to what the teacher says, Student A might be able
to absorb the lesson quickly. Form me, Learning occurs not only in the
classroom but also in other settings and areas of life. However, the
majority of life’s lessons are learned within those four walls. This is
especially true when it comes to children’s learning foundations. As a
result, creating a positive learning environment that helps children to
enjoy the process of learning new things is critical. Schools are
sometimes referred to as a student’s second home because they spend
so much of their time there. A favorable learning environment is made
up of various crucial components that go beyond having the correct
school furniture items. When taken together, these qualities should
create an environment where students may openly communicate their
thoughts to their classmates and professors while also feeling at ease
investigating all facets of various subjects and themselves.
