Pangasinan's Rich Yet Troubled History

The document depicts the slogan "A TOUGH HISTORY TO FOLLOW. GALILA MASANTING ED PANGASINAN TAN MAALIGGUAS" which represents the Philippines' language, culture, and logo of Pangasinan province. The slogan references Pangasinan's lovely culture and scenery but also its tragic history of colonization by Spain and suffering under the Spanish and American colonizers, giving the region a tough historical past to overcome.

GALILA MASANTING
ED PANGASINAN TAN MAALIGGUAS
EXPLANATION:

This slogan depicts the Philippines' language

that you can see at the bottom part of the
slogan, culture, and logo. When you see this,
you can realize how lovely and cultured
Pangasinan is, however this lovely culture and
scenery has a tragic history. If we look at the
history of Pangasinan, we will see that it was
one of the regions that the Spanish
[Link] have been subjected to
numerous acts of injustice directed toward
Spaniards. They also suffered under the
American colonization. Because of their
horrible experience during those times, I used
the phrase "A tough history to follow" and
used their attractions and culture as a picture
to illustrate that, despite their dark
background, they are becoming better and
better each year.
