Lesson 1: The Learning Environment: An Overview

Learning Activity!

1. Describe a school nearby. Would you like to teach there? Why? Or why not?
A school nearby in our barangay is an elementary school, they accommodate one section
from Kinder Garten- Grade 6 students. Every classroom have their complete instructional
materials and they have also a television for educational purposes. Yes, I would like to teach
there someday because it is very near in my home aside from that I finish elementary education
in this school and for me this school is very conducive to learning.

2. Is the school adequately equipped with the necessary learning facilities?


Yes, because the school are complete in equipment and facilities for learning in order to
provide quality education and improve the learning environment.

3. How should a teacher relate with her/hi administrators, co-teachers, students and non-teaching
personnel?
A teacher should possess a good relationship, good communication skills and a good
characteristics in order to relate them properly.

4. Discuss how one could act as a PRO between the school and the community?
Because it takes a community to raise a school that support learnings.

5. Describe the school where you studied? Was it conducive to learning?

6. How do the health services staff take care of the students’ physical development?

7. Did you experience studying in an effective school? Discuss your evaluation.

Lesson 2: Enhancing a Face-to-Face Learning Environment

Learning Activity!

1. How can you ensure that all pupils have access to the devices they need to fully participate in
virtual learning?

2. How are you going to support schools in structuring instructional time to meet the needs of
students with varying levels of access to the internet and technology?
3. How are you going to support pupils and students with disabilities who need specialized
instruction, related services, and other supports during school closures?

4. What kind of support and professional development are you going to provide to school leaders
and teachers, especially in schools serving students of color (heterogeneous) and students from
low-income backgrounds and educators of students with disabilities and English learners?

5. How are you going to support the social and emotional well-being of students, their
parents/caregivers, and teachers during school closures?

For me, it can be done through conducting a survey at least once a month regarding their
social and emotional issues which can be addressed eventually. Also, I can support them through
sending some encouragements.

6. How are you going to measure student progress to ensure students and families have an
accurate picture of student performance for this school year?

It is through giving them some assessments or tests online that will boost their
knowledge.

7. How are you going to support all high school students, especially seniors, in staying on track
to graduate and preparing for college and career?

Through imparting a high quality of education and establishing a healthy and motivating
teacher-student relationship.

Lesson 3: Making Online or Virtual Learning Environment Safe and Conducive

1. Put yourself in the shoes of your online student. What are three things you would want your
instructor to do to make you feel more connected?

2. If you were already a teacher, how well could you maintain a work- life balance while
teaching remotely?

3. How important is the role of technology in remote learning?

4. Being a teacher in the future, how important is face-to-face communication for you while
teaching remotely?

5. How helpful have parents been while supporting their children’s remote learning?
