We appreciate Joseph Group Industries initiative towards renewable energy solutions for
your building in Jabel Ali area, Dubai by utilizing Solar Energy solution. We are thankful for
opportunity extended to us to quote for the Solar PV roof top project. Based on the building
drawing details shared, we have calculated available shadow free area and designed a solar
capacity of 941.82kWp combined in all the building we have considered Block A,B,C,D and
Factory 2, Factory 3. As per the PVsyst simulation report the solar plant has achieved a
performance ratio of 75%. The solar project can secure an annual average saving of AED
834,000/- and project will reach its payback in 5 Years and over the course of its life cycle in
25 Years project can achieve cumulative profit near to AED 15,031,509. The project will
bring a Green Tag to your building and be a part of regions sustainable development.

The report provides details on project feasibility, engineering design for the 941.82 kWp
solar rooftop project.
METHODOLOGY:
Prepared the Report based on the information shared from client side and Technical
Assessment study
Economic
The project has an estimated Annual Generation of 1,413,431 KWh/Year from the 941.82
KWp PV solar system based on the Radiation in the Dubai region. Also DEWA provides Net
Metering facility to export any surplus power generated to DEWA grid, each month only the
Net amount shall be payable by the customer
Social
Solar reduces air pollution: Harmful carbon dioxide and methane emissions from fossil fuels,
our traditional energy source, are leading contributors to global warming and
decreased air quality. But generating electricity with solar panels produces no greenhouse
gasses whatsoever, 1,413,431 kWh /Year equivalent to 27261 tree seedlings grown for 10
years or 118364 gallons of gasoline not consumed or resist emission of 1052 metric tons of
Carbon Dioxide Equivalent.
It also supports diversifying the energy mix by promoting the use of clean and renewable
energy sources to build a sustainable future for the UAE Vision 2021.
PV MODULES
PARAMETERS SPECIFICATIONS
PV Module Rating 330Wp

The module mounting structure is designed for holding suitable number of modules in series.
Seismic factors for the site will be considered while making the design of the foundation. The
design of array structure will be based on soil test report of the site.
Power Conditioning Unit (PCU) shall comprise of charge controller and MPPT unit with
power optimizer, inverter, voltage stabilizer, and distribution panel along with necessary
displays, indicators and alarms. On-Grid Inverters are considered for this project.
Safety

An ACDB will be provided in between PCU and load/grid interface. It will have Isolator
/MCB of suitable rating for connection and disconnection of PCU from load. This can be an
integral part of the PCU also.
The cost of the power plant is calculated on the basis of the present day market price,
availability of different equipment’s, place of installation where the said project cost
estimation will be implemented. In estimating the cost, the maximum care is taken for quality
and reliability of the system while keeping in mind that the price should be competitive. The
cost estimated in this Section is the complete cost of supply, installation and commissioning,
transportation;
Cost Estimate 941.81kWp Grid Tie solar PV Power Plant Solar Modules (Canadian Solar/
Jinko Solar/ Trina Solar), Inverter (HUWAEI SUN2000-Series) and Other accessories
PAYMENT TERMS:
25% of Project Cost in advance payment against the work order and Agreement
execution.
50% of Project Cost payment against Performa Invoice of Solar Modules, Structures and
Inverters.
15% of Project cost payment against installation of Module mounting structure, Solar
Module and Inverter.
Balance 10% against Commissioning of Power Plant.
Any Authority (Dubai Municipality) submission or Processing fee is excluded in the
cost.
As the price of grid-connected solar power systems has decreased dramatically over the last
few years, investing in a system now produces a high return on investment (ROI) making it
far more attractive than putting your money in bank term deposits or similar investments.
The 941.82 KWp on-grid PV solar system project has an estimated Annual Generation of
1,413,431 KWh/Year; thus the Customer can reduce 1,413,431 Units from the DEWA
electricity bill. In this project, we considered DEWA red slab Electricity tariff for
Commercial category which is 0.44 AED/KWh for consumption more than 6000 KWh per
month plus 0.065 AED/KWh for fuel surcharge.
The report of solar power plant has been generated by using PVsyst software to get all details
of electricity production from proposed solar power plant, we compared and calculated
monthly and yearly production result with electricity bill provided from the . As a result,
customer, the client will save 20% of total electricity consumption (As per the electricity
details provided to us).
As a rough initial estimation of ROI, your capital investment on Solar will be paid back in
first 5 years, and further each year you have electricity cost saving 8340,000 AED as a price
of utility electricity expected to rise significantly as subsidies on electricity are removed for
next 25 years. The cumulative profit from this project after 25 years will be around
15,931,509 AED, while the Net Present Value equal to 4,947,391 AED and the Internal rate
of return will be 19%.
Note: Module degradation factor also considered in the calculations
