Lesson Plan: Basic Pre-Intermediate Advanced

Warm-up and Objective Discussion

I will speak about last lesson.

Objective discussion:I will tell them we will learn how to express our hobbies

Instruct and Model  R  W  L  S

I will ask about hobby [Link] will try to define it then I will define it .After that I will
show them a short video and after video I will ask about the video and let the students talk
about it and I will show them some sentences that we use when we ask about hobbies. I will
show them How to make sentences when we talk about hobbies I will remind them some state
verbs that we learned last lesson to express our feelings ( like, love, hate, enjoy etc.)I will
show them some sentences and let them find the different one and why it is different and
explain the difference of gerund and infinitive form when we talk about hobbies.(Example :I
like fishing and I like to go fishing at the weekend with my family.)If we have details or If we
are speaking specifically we use infinitive form If we are speaking generally about that hobby
we use gerund form . We will see some pictures of hobbies like gardening, fishing etc. .to
learn vocabulary or remember it.

Guided Practice  R  W  L  S

We will unscramble sentences of a conversation about hobbies We will do listening exercises.


There will be fill in the blanks questions and multiple choice questions according to listening
exercises (they will fill in the blanks and try to guess the hobby that the man mention about
one by one.
Independent Practice  R  W  L  S

I will give them a worksheet to unscramble some more sentences like we did before
Assessment  R  W  L  S

I will tell them to record a video with one of their friend from the class and talk about their
hobbies at least 5 at most 10 minutes and share it at [Link] so every student can
watch their friends videos and comment about it .I will give them a listening quiz about
hobbies. It will be graded.
