    The equitron Class B Autoclave passes the Helix Test, thus ensuring that TE
    your load is effectively sterilized. The Helix Test indicates the strength of steam
    exposure in the chamber by verifying the air removal and steam penetration
    levels. The Helix Test is a process challenge device which simulates the worst
    case scenario of sterilising tubings, lumens & hollow loads. Ophthalmic &
    Dental Surgeons as well as certain other other medical specialties use several
    instruments that have long hollow parts. An imperfect sterilization may lead to
    patient infection. With equitron Class B Autoclave passing the Helix Test, you
    can be rest assured of the sterility of your hard-to-sterilize items such as tubings,
    lumens and hollow loads.

    PRE-VACUUM AIR REMOVAL FOR EFFICIENT STERILIZATION


    In the equitron Class B Autoclave, during the Pre-Vacuum phase,
    air is removed from the chamber and load with the help of a vacuum
    pump. This is ideal for hollow loads as well as porous loads, such
    as pouched & wrapped instruments and fabrics, where air pockets
    get easily trapped within the load. This is a major barrier for effective
    steam penetration. By drawing a vacuum, air pockets present in the
    chamber and load are effectively evacuated. This enables the steam
    WRHIÀFLHQWO\SHQHWUDWHLQWRDUHDVZKLFKDUHGLIÀFXOWWRUHDFKRWKHU-
    wise and results in far more reliable sterilization and shorter cycle
    times. At the end of the sterilization phase, the vacuum pump is used
    for post vacuum drying
