    1. What art form/artwork has changed something in your life? Why account for the experience.
    - When I was a child, I love to draw anime faces, cartoon characters and etc. it somehow helps me to
    release my stress and ease my sadness. Until now I like to draw things that will make me feel better
    though I’m not that good and professional at drawing, but I know that I like it and it helps me feel
    better.
    2. Does art always have a function? Why? Support your response. Provide your own example.
    - Yes, art always have function. Just like what is said on the lesson give, “Functions depends on the
    artist who created art, an artist may create art out of self-expression, entertainment, or therapeutic
    purpose” the artist itself creates the purpose of his/her work. For example, some artist makes
    songs/poems out of nowhere because of they are sad. They want to express their own feelings
    through writing. Some artists create artworks for entertainment and therapeutic purposes that can
    help people to overcome the stress and sadness they’re experiencing. Art always has a function and
    its function is to be an art and help people.
    3. If an artwork ceased to have function, will it remain an art? Why?
    - Yes, even if an artwork has no longer function it will still remain as art but not functional art. For
    example, on a movie we no longer think that it helps or provides what we want to see since there
    are other new and better ones but the one who make this art who’s expressing his emotions or
    feelings will remain inside the art/film no matter what happen or even some people already don’t
    appreciate or no longer likes it. Sometimes we use art to communicate to someone.

    TAKE HOME TASK

    Look around your house and identify a product of art. In a short bond paper, paste a picture of that product of art in
    your household. Trace the beginning of this item and identify what functions it has in history (e.g., a painting of the
    last supper in your dining room or a spoon)

    A vase is an open container. It can be made from a


    number of materials, such as ceramics, glass, non-rusting
    metals, such as aluminum, brass, bronze, or stainless steel.
    Even wood has been used to make vases, either by using tree
    species that naturally resist rot, such as teak, or by applying a
    protective coating to conventional wood or plastic. Vases are
    often decorated, and they are often used to hold cut flowers.
    Vases come in different sizes to support whatever flower it is
    holding or keeping in place. Various styles and types of vases
    have been developed around the world in different time
    periods, such as Chinese ceramics and Native American
    pottery. In the pottery of ancient Greece "vase-painting" is the
    traditional term covering the famous fine painted pottery,
    often with many figures in scenes from Greek mythology. Such
    pieces may be referred to as vases regardless of their shape;
    most were in fact used for holding or serving liquids, and many
    would more naturally becalled cups, jugs and so on. In the
    Philippines Vases or the so called “banga” are used for cooking
    and storing waters and wines.
