 Active faults in Zamboanga del Norte Province map (see figure 1)
 (Optional) Download the application on your phone “The PHIVOLCS FaultFinder” from “Play store”
if available.

To design a scheme to inform local folks in your hometown about
G GOAL the possibilities of earthquakes in your area.
You are working at the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and
R ROLE Seismology (PHIVOLCS) which is a service institute of the
Department of Science and Technology (DOST) that is principally
mandated to mitigate disasters that may arise from volcanic
eruptions, earthquakes, tsunami and other related geologic
phenomena.
A AUDIENCE People in your locality
Using the map in Figure 1, determine at least 3 active faults
S SITUATION passing by your town, province or region. Make a
campaign/informative material on safe building locations and
areas to avoid the hazards of fault lines and some disaster
prevention instructions or advice to people living near
earthquake – prone area or nearfault area. You must bring out
in them the sense of being always ready and prepared.

Any campaign / informative material may it be a brochure, comic
