10KWp Solar Rooftop System
10KWp Solar Rooftop System
Ref: PEPL/10-11/PV/682
Dear Sir,
Sub: Comprehensive Proposal for 10 KWp Roof top Solar PV System.
With reference to your query, we are pleased to submit herewith our comprehensive proposal of the Technical & Commercial
overview, for your kind perusal.
A. System Definition
Size
10 kWp total DC capacity
50 nos. 200-watt panels (To be procured globally from leading international vendors like
Photon Energy, BP Solar, Solar Semiconductor etc.)
Energy Production
Note: Energy production projections are reasonably accurate estimates based on site’s solar data and our experience with similar
systems. Exergy makes no guarantees as to actual production output from this system.
Grid/Load Interfacing
Solar system output shall be connected to a suitable load bus capable of taking the input. This input point shall be selected in field
in consultation with client’s Executive Engineer.
Weight: 20 kg
Operating Conditions: -40 to +90 C
Maximum System Voltage: 600 Vdc
We may take any other reputed make with efficiency > 95%.
Electrical Accessories Cables will conform to IS 694 and shall be of 650 V/ 1.1 kV
grade. Interconnections, array to junction
boxes, junction boxes to DCDB, DCDB
to PCU etc will be selected to keep voltage
drop and losses to the minimum. The
bright annealed 99.97% pure bare copper
conductors offer low conductor resistance,
Battery None
Energy Meter The Inverter shall have a built-in meter that tracks energy
production and displays it on a small LED screen. The display
can be used to determine real-time production, daily production,
and yearly production. For more sophisticated analysis and visual
data management, Solar Access modules can be included.
Remote Monitoring System The Sunny Web Box continuously records and stores all available
data of about 50 inverters in real time, in addition the inverter
parameters can be requested and modified. It provides you with
various modern data processing options for professional data
management. These are saved in conventional CSV or XML file
formats. The ability to exchange data by FTP allows you to easily
transfer these values to your PC. You can just as easily use an SD
card to save your data. Any such feature of remote monitoring
shall be made available through additional costs.

Area required:
The Total Area required for the System Installation shall be apx 1200 -1400 sq feet, without any shades, facing south.
Structural Anchoring:
Panels shall be mounted on galvanized frames inclined at 30.3 degrees to the south. The structure is designed in such a manner that
module can be replaced easily and in line with site requirements and it is easy to install and service in future. The frames will be
supported by angle legs of suitable lengths to provide the pre-determined inclination. All fasteners, nut and bolts are made of
Stainless steel - SS 304 5.4.6 PCC.
Foundation Base:
The legs of the structures made with GI angles are made of fixed and grouted in the PCC foundation columns made with 1:2:4
cement concrete. Actual frame and other structural dimensions will be determined during a more detailed site visit by specialists
during full design phase.
Inverter Installation
Based on the initial site visit, the inverters could possibly be installed on the terrace. This space provides ample accessibility and
good air circulation. The inverter is available in IP54 housing, however, an enclosed space has to be provided for the same. Actual
installation location and methods will be determined during full design phase.
Electrical
Proposed fire hose shaft will be used for running electrical cables down to the electrical panel room. A detailed electrical design
with single-line diagram and specifications will be prepared during full design phase after receiving the PO, for the client’s approval.
1. We shall conduct a detailed site visit with specialists to take accurate measurements, photographs, and other site-specific
information for full design.
2. Prepare full system design to include civil, structural, electrical and mechanical components, with construction drawings
and specifications.
3. Procure equipment and materials and deliver to site.
4. Perform complete system installation.
5. Test all electrical components in accordance with manufacturer instructions.
6. Commission the system to full operability.
G. Client Scope
Site-specific considerations will require assistance and cooperation from the client, as outlined below:
1. Provide access to work site for delivery of equipment and materials prior to and during project implementation.
2. Provide a suitable and secure space for storage of equipment and materials.
3. Facilitate access of work crew to the work site 7 days a week.
4. Facilitate interfacing with the client’s resident engineering staff for consultation as needed.
5. Separate electrical loads as discussed in Part A (Grid Interfacing) and connect solar output to building load system.
6. All the Statutory clearances, if any, required for the Project.
All the Systems except Inverter, will be installed within 8-10weeks from the date of receipt of advance and approval of the “SLD”.
Warranty
The Solar modules are warranted by the solar panel manufacturer for a period of 25 years. The details are as below
1. Panels:
Manufacturing Warrantee for the System: 3 yrs after installation and commissioning.
Performance Warrantee:
a. 90% efficiency upto 12 yrs
b. 80% efficiency upto 25 yrs
2. Inverter: 3 yrs or 5 yrs depending on the make
3. Balance of the Systems: Standard 12 months warrantee against manufacturing defects. We shall also ensure supply of
Spares for the System for the required.
