Nursing Care Plan for Dengue Fever

The patient was at risk for fluid volume deficit due to decreased fluid intake. The nurse's goals were for the patient to maintain adequate fluid volume over 8 hours as evidenced by independent fluid monitoring, skin turgor, and urine output of 30-40cc per hour. Interventions included continued monitoring of intake/output and vital signs. After 8 hours, the goal was partially met as the patient maintained adequate skin turgor and fluid volume, but required continued monitoring.
