Module 1 Section 1 Diagnostics. Write TRUE If You Think That The Statement Is True and FALSE, If Otherwise

This document contains a student's responses to questions and activities for a module on science, technology and society (STS). It includes the student answering true/false questions on concepts in STS, describing the scientific method, discussing the role of science and technology in their life, providing an example of an ethical dilemma caused by science and technology, and reflecting on an image depicting an issue involving air pollution from factories. The student explains how the air pollution can impact human health and the environment, and why learning STS is important to address such problems and ensure science and technology are applied responsibly.

 Hypothesis
 Experiment
 Observation
 conclusion

Quick Question:

What is the role of Science and Technology in your life?

The role of Science and Technology in my daily life is everything. It also helps me to lessen the burden of
works and to communicate others easily around the world. Science and technology enables me to live in

-It is an air pollution that released by the factories.

2. How does this particular issue or problem impact the well-being of humans today?

-This particular issue or problem affect the well-being of humans today, because this pollution
that emitted by the factories can damage our ozone layers that can cause global warming This global
warming can cause a great problem in the humanity because it can cause so many diseases that can be
dangerous in our health.

3. Why is it important for people to study and learn about STS as an academic field, especially in
addressing the issue or problem depicted in the image?

- It is very important for people to study and learn about STS as an academic field, especially in
addressing the issue or problem depicted in the image to learn how to control using the essence of
Science and Technology in an appropriate way that cannot harm our environment. Learning STS as an
academic field can widen our knowledge to provide the students with insight into how different
processes of knowledge are initiated and progressed.
