Physical book versus virtual books
Nowadays, virtual books have become a powerful trend in the editorial industry.
However, the extinction of physical books as a result of virtual books has not materialized,
but instead, the two kinds of books are existing simultaneously. In this essay, I am writing
about comparing and contrasting physical books and virtual books giving reasons for and
against each category, so one of them is better than the other kind.
In this section, I am focusing on the similarities that physical books and virtual books
have. First, virtual books and physical books achieve the purpose of giving information to
the readers. Both kinds of books can accomplish the purpose what the reader needs. It
could be entertainment, homework, research, or curious information. At the moment,
books can catch the readers depend on preferences or interests of them. For instance, my
sister loves reading romantic books. She can read one by one without feeling tired. It
happens because books (virtual and physical) get to achieve entertaining her. Second,
virtual books and physical books are comfortable to carry up everywhere. One book or two
books can be carried easily without trouble. They could be put in a backpack while virtual
books can be carried on electronic devices. For example, when I have a class presentation
at University, I go reviewing my virtual book on my cellphone while I am commuting. Third,
both virtual books and physical can contain specific educational information for students.
Generally, both kind of books have the same content. It means, there are not differences
about the information inside of the books. For example, at ICPNA classes, I use my virtual
book. Some classmates use physical books. In this way, I don’t feel I have disadvantages
in front of my classmates about the information inside.
In this part, I am focusing on the differences that physical books and virtual books
have. First, virtual books are cheaper that physical books. One of the differences is that
virtual books don’t need paper or printing process. Due to that, virtual books are less
expensive that physical books. For example, online ICPNA’s classes are cheaper that
face-to-face ICPNA classes. The institute give the students access to virtual books.
Second, Virtual books just work with device’s battery. That is other difference. While
physical books are unlimited because you can read it until you want, virtual books have a
limited time to read before the device’s battery get low. For example, I read my book on
my cell phone while I go to the University. I just have approximately 2 hours to read before
my battery glow and turns my device off. On the other hand, when I read physical books, I
have all the time until I arrive at the University. Third, the excessive use of virtual books on
electronic devices cause tired eyes. I can find a big difference about the effort that our
eyes make when we read virtual books and physical books. It means, the intensive light on
the electronic devices can cause a damage in the eyes. For instance, when I was at the
academy, I didn’t ware glasses. At that moment, I just read physical books, but at the
University, I started to read e-books about my career. Unfortunately, 2 years ago, my
doctor recommended glasses permanently. Finally, physical books do not require Internet
connection. To read an e-book in some places without Internet service, you need
download the book. However, sometimes depending on the platform, the users cannot do
that. For example, I have some e-books that I bought some months ago. I just can review
in the same platform when I have Wi-Fi connection. I cannot download the documents
because when I try it, the platform gives me a message box telling” ERROR.” Physical
books don’t have the same condition.
Finally, in this section, after I have seen the similarities and differences of physical
and virtual books, I can say that physical books are better than virtual books for some
reasons. First, Physical books do not cause tired eyes. That is a big difference between
them and an advantage for the physical books. To read a virtual book for a long time
can trigger some damage in the eyes. For instance, when I read an e-book for 4 hours, I
feel I need to take a rest. I start doing other things, other activities. After that, I go back
to my e-book. Reading a physical book do not cause the same of tired eyes. Second,
virtual books have a limit time to be used due to device’s battery can get low. It means
when people read a virtual book, they must be aware of how much time the device’s
battery can endure. For instance, my sister usually reads her virtual books on a bus
while she goes to the University. Sometimes, she forgets to charge her electronic device
battery and she cannot finish to read her e-books. For that reason, she always tries to
maintain her battery 100% charged. In other cases, she tries to print some pages to
read it while she is commuting.
To sum, physical and virtual books have similarities and differences, but after
these similarities and differences are evaluated, physical books are better than virtual
books. In my opinion, both kinds of books have their benefits. I think virtual and physical
books encourage reading habits and that is what our country needs.

have, I can say that smart phones are good for some reasons presented lines above.

2. You can look for what you need and have the solution in your cell phone.
4. You can save a lot of time using your smart cellphones.
In conclusion, smart cell phones have causes and effects that are positive and negative, but
after measuring them, it is shown that they are good because smart cellphones give us more benefits
and advantages to develop our activities if we use our cellphone reasonably.

them what happens and what need. For example, when my sister felt bad on the way to school, she
quickly called my mother to tell her what she felt. That happened some years ago, my sister was a
child. She was very scared because she thought she went to faint. My mother told her how to react
in that situation. Second, smart cellphones allow to have access to online information everywhere.
People can have access to educational, work or entertainment information in wherever people go.
Have a smart cell phone eases the way to look for information. Some years ago, people need to go
to the library. Now people just turn on their cell phones and find information at school, university,
or work. For example, I usually my smart cell phone at university. When I do not understand
something or when I need extra information, I just search there. I do not wait the class end to take a
bus to the library. I have books, magazine, articles and thesis from my cell phone. Third, smart cell
phones get together different apps in one device saving space and time (music, camera, calculator,
internet, maps,etc.). We had one device for every needs before. Before if people needed a camera,
they needed to buy a camera. If people needed a calculator, they needed to buy a calculator. If they
needed to listen to music, they need to buy a radio or MP3. Each device had a special and specific
purpose. Smart cell phone has the capacity to storage all that applications. For example, when I was
14 years old, my parents gave me a gift. They knew I liked to listen to music and take photos; for
this reason, they gave me a MP3 and camera. I carried both things to everywhere. On vacations, I
always carried my camera and MP3 until I lost one of them. Now, I just carry my smart cell phones
to take photo and listen to music. Obviously, smart cell phones have other qualities that just camera
and radio. Finally, smart cellphones work as a means of bring assignment and homework. Thanks to
cell phone’s memory people can save their information and move easily. Some years ago, people
needed a CD or USB to carry their assignment and have a copy in the cloud. Now, people can
storage their homework in different formats like Power point, Word, PDF, Prezi, etc. For instance,
my mother is learning how to save their work in her cell phone. I explained that sometimes save in
her cell phones can be safer because it automatically generates a backup in the cloud. In this way, if
something happens with the computer, she can get back the information without problems.

smart cell phone can trigger a strong change in the behavior of children and teenagers. Smart cell
phones have achieved to get the feel affection of young people. For example, I used to go with my
smart cell phone everywhere some years ago. I felt like a missing feeling when I was without it. I
was very smart cell phone’s dependence. If I did not have my cell phone or someone prohibit me
about the use, I feel sad and angry. Second, using smart cellphones in wrong situations exposing
yourself in risks and dangers. People must be alert when use their smart cell phone in the street or in
the bus. Bad people just want money, no more. That kind of people exist. They are capable to kill
for a bit of money. For example, I was watching TV when I saw in the new that a girl was killed.
The reason? The robber wanted just the smart cellphone. Third, smart phones do not allow to
develop social skills. That is one of the main disadvantages because children and teenagers need to
learn how to interact with friends face-to- face. If young people do not learn to develop their social
skills, people will have strong problems in the future. For example, my cousin is very talkative
when we talk through technology devices (cell phones, laptop, or computer) but when we talk face
to face is very quiet. Finally, constantly use of smartphones cause tired eyes. The use of smart cell
phones for a long time can cause a serious eye problem. When people use the smart cell phone, they
do not fell the hour pass. That is dangerous because people just realize too late. For instance, I am
one of the people who realize too late. I was forced to use a pair of glasses even if I did not like
them.

carry a lot study or work information in your cellphone. People can carry their information in

assignments in my smart cell phone because I think is more practical for some reasons: I can
have a backup if something happens with my smart cellphone, I just can have review with my
smart cellphone and smart cell phones do not require another devices like USB or CD. Second,
you can look for what you need and have the solution in your cell phone. Smart cell phone give
you options to solve some problems. Applications inside the smart cell phones have a great
amount benefit. For example, when I was at University and I forgot something that I needed it, I
used delivery applications. When I forgot my calculator, I used my cell phone. I can find
different tools inside of smart cell phone. Finally, you can save a lot of time using your smart
cellphones. Theses devices help to save time because they (smart cell phone) have everything
what young people can need. For example, when I do not know how to arrive to some specific
place, I use my smart cellphone to guide my way; therefore, I get find the place quickly.
In conclusion, smart cell phones have causes and effects that are positive and negative, but
after measuring them, it is shown that they are good because smart cellphones give us more benefits
and advantages to develop our activities if we use our cellphone reasonably.

In conclusion, despite of the fact that there are common, but different characteristics between
face-to-face and online English classes at ICPNA, I think online classes are better for these
classes have good features than regular classes don’t have.
Similarities and Differences Between My Face-to-face and Online
English classes at ICPNA
In this new context triggered for the pandemic, we saw the necessity of obey the
norms, but also tried to continue with our responsibilities. In this way, institutes like
ICPNA created new teaching style: ONLINE ENGLISH CLASSES. I thought It would be
the same, but I achieved to observe similarities and differences between my face-to-face
and online English classes at ICPNA.
The differences in the face-to-face English classes only at the institute are very
recognizable. First, the interaction between students and the teacher are more direct in
face-to face English classes. In face-to-face English classes, teachers can give advices
and recommends in personal way. For example, when I didn’t understand some lesson, I
ask to my teacher for some indications and he gave me all the points that I needed to
review to understand much better. On the other hands, the exams in face-to face classes
are more difficult. It means, exams in face – to face had more questions and included
many lessons of the cycle. For example, face-to-face exam had approximately 45
questions while online English classes just have approximately 20 questions about
specific lessons of the cycles.

The differences in the online English classes only at the institute contain some
economics and educational advantage. First, Online English classes are cheaper. Online
English classes at ICPNA had a discount due to the book is virtual and it doesn’t have
the same cost. For instance, I remembered the face -to face classes was approximately
305 soles, but in my first time enroll a virtual class at ICPNA just had a cost almost
S/.260. Second, Students have more resources to obtain academic information in online
classes. That’s one of the advantages about take virtual classes. Students have easy
and fast access to the information like dictionary, books, etc.
In the same way, Online English classes and Face-to-face English classes have
some similarities in the face-to-face and online English classes. First, in both kinds of
classes, you can interact with classmates and the teacher, but we are aware that interact
is less intensive compared with face-to-face class. For example, teacher require to their
students turn their cameras on, but sometimes occur interferences like Internet
connection problems, the powers out, etc. Then, the class time in face-to face and online
classes is the same. That is one of the characteristics that have not changed. The period
is the same that we have in face- to face classes. And finally, the textbooks in both kinds
of classes is the same. Even though ICPNA don’t give us physical books, they add in
their platform the same book in virtual way. I think that its to avoid more sudden changes.
To sup up, despite of the fact that there are common, but different characteristics
between face-to-face and online English classes at ICPNA, I think online classes are
better for these classes have good features than regular classes don't have. My advice is
that we must face all this changes, find the better path to improve and achieve to adapt in
Online English classes.

devices for elementary school children can cause positive effects when learning and
entertaining.
In this section, I am focusing on positive effects when elementary school students use
electronic devices to learn. First, students can use their electronic devices as tools for their
learning in elementary school. Children can find more information of a didactic way improving
their learning. For example, teachers can use specific apps to plan lessons or use interactive media
to document and evaluate student work. Second, elementary school students can improve their
academic knowledge in class or outside class. Children can search extra information through in
their electronic devices even when the teacher is not near. For instance, when my sister does not
understand or want to review yesterday’s class with extra information, she can look for information
or videos about the topic and study herself. Third, students can use their electronic devices as
storage tools for their academic information. Elementary school children can save some specific
information through of photo or video to review later. Also, students can storages their homework
or presentation in their electronic devices without use physical materials. For example, my cousin
uses digital materials like power point. He carries his homework in cell phone and project it through
her device. Finally, elementary school students can organize their recorded academic
information to study for exams. Students can get together all the information to review and study
for their evaluation. For instance, my sister organizes in order their photos of the class, writes the
important information and reviews before the exam.

devices to entertain. First, students can use their electronic devices for entertainment when
they have a time off. Elementary school students can entertain watching videos or using any
apps in their cell phones when they are taking a break. For example, my cousin plays virtual
games with his classmates some minutes in the break time. Second, elementary school
students can relax during free time using their electronic devices. The electronic devices
help to relax to students between period of study. We know that study a long time without break
can become very bored and tired. For example, my sister uses her cell phone to listen to music
after 45 minutes of study. That helps her to concentrate more in the next period of study
