As an NSTP student -trainee, prepare a letter of appeal to concerned authorities in the attempt to
look for solutions in abating the drug problem in the community/country. Below is the template that you
can use for the said purpose.

Dear Sir,

I am Krizah Marie C. Caballero, a citizen living here in Barangay Calampisawan and a student-trainee of the NSTP in
Carlos Hilado Memorial State College and I am writing this letter to appeal about taking action of this growing drug
problem in the community, specifically here in our barangay.

Records have shown that there is an increase in the number of drug users in our locality, which is utterly shocking.
Security and stability have been threatening, and we need to take action on this matter. Drugs are destroying the
lives of those who fall prey to their addiction. When they slip into the addiction trap, it is tough to return to normal
life. The life of these unfortunate drug addicts is bound to perdition. Drugs harm their health. They become
vulnerable to any health risks such as the liver and pancreatic injury, ulcers, diabetes and cardiac attacks, lung
damage, ulcers, kidney failure, etc.

Sir, with all due respect, as an NSTP student-trainee, I humbly suggest to the Government and the other concerned
authorities to look into the matter and take serious actions against this menace. The parents must also be vigilant
about their children’s suspicious activities. I hope you will give my views enough space in your office.
