LEARNING ACTION CELL

Program Proposal
SY 2019-2020

Conduct of the School-Based Learning Action Cell in Developmentally Early Language

Literacy and Numeracy

TITLE : School-Based Learning Action Cell in Early Language Literacy and

Numeracy

Date/Venue : July 26, 2019 to February 07, 2020, VITALI CENTRAL SCHOOL

1. Rationale
1.1. School-Based Learning Action Cells as one of the projects in the implementation of
School-Based Management (SBM), and embedded in Enhanced School Improvement
Plan. The school data showed low school MPS in subjects involving literacy and numeracy
skills. Thus, it is an avenue for continuous and cost-effective in-service training and teacher
development as well. LACs provide teachers an engagement of learning sessions to solve
shared challenges encountered in the school. Specifically, it seeks to improve the
teaching-learning process that will lead to improved learning among the learners; to
nurture novice teachers; to enable teachers to support each other to continuously
improve their content and pedagogical knowledge, practice, skills, and attitudes; and
foster a professional collaborative spirit among school heads, teachers and the
community as a whole.

2. Objectives

2.1 To improve teaching-learning process that will lead to improve MPS of the school
