Laro NG Lahi

Tumbang preso is a street game played in the Philippines involving at least 3 players where one player defends a can from the others trying to knock it over with their slippers. The defender protects the upright can and can tag other players, making them the new defender, while the other players try to knock the can down without getting tagged to force the defender to reset the can.

LARO NG LAHI

Tumbang preso is one of the most famous street

games that need at least 3 players. Though, the
more players involved, the merrier the game will
be.

First, the players will need to find a can and put

it in the designated game area usually in the
center of the road or the game area. The players
will then select and decide who will be the “it” or
the defender of the can. He must defend the can
from being knocked down. The other players will
try to knock down the can using their slippers by
targeting it or by kicking it without being tagged
by the “it”. Meanwhile, the “it” can tag or chase
anyone who will approach their slippers provided
that the can is in upright position. If it’s knocked
down, he can always put it back in the upright
position and chase down anyone who is getting
their slippers. Anyone who is tagged while the
can is in the upright position will be the new “it”.
